Elden Ring Dragonbarrow Cave Walkthrough: Bull-Goat's Talisman
The Dragonbarrow Cave is a small cave in eastern Dragonbarrow, the northern half of Caelid, that holds two talismans worth the detour: the Bull-Goat's Talisman on a corpse behind a bear, and the Flamedrake Talisman +2 from a pair of Beastmen of Farum Azula at the end. The Bull-Goat's page calls it a fairly early pickup with a difficult journey, and the journey is the bear.
Where the Dragonbarrow Cave is
The quickest way in from Limgrave is the teleporter to the left of the Third Church of Marika Site of Grace, which drops you at the Bestial Sanctum. From there ride south along the path to the Dragonbarrow Fork, then east to the cave entrance, where the Dragonbarrow Cave Site of Grace sits at the mouth. Once lit, it is a fast-travel point for the return trip. Our hub rates Caelid and Dragonbarrow for levels 50 to 80, so a character arriving by teleporter is early for the region even if the cave itself is short.
Dragonbarrow Cave walkthrough
Go straight down the tunnel from the grace. The right-hand path leads to a small room, and a giant bear guards the entrance to the passage you need. The Bull-Goat's page gives you the choice: sneak past it, or fight it knowing that the size of the room is what makes the fight hard. Killing it drops Beast Blood, and the Flamedrake page notes Rowa Fruit and Golden Runes lying around the same area. Past the bear, take the path on the left and follow it to another room; the corpse there carries the Bull-Goat's Talisman.
The talisman raises your poise by 33 percent and cuts the poise damage you take by 25 percent, which is the difference between finishing a swing and being staggered into a riposte. Its page pairs it with Strength and Dexterity builds that trade blows up close; the talismans guide files it under the same numbers.
The two Beastmen of Farum Azula
Deeper in, the cave opens into a boss arena with two Beastmen of Farum Azula at once, one with throwing knives and one with a greatsword. Kill both and the Flamedrake Talisman +2 is yours, the best of its line at 20 percent fire damage negation against 13 for the base version from the Groveside Cave and 17 for the +1 in Leyndell. The moveset is the one our Beastman of Farum Azula page breaks down for the Limgrave version: parryable swings, a six-hit combo to punish on its last swing, a slow two-hand slam, a howl that leaves his back open, and a stagger that large weapons can chain. With two of them, the same page's advice for Dexterity and ranged characters applies double: never get greedy, and split them if you can.

Dragonbarrow Cave FAQ
Can I skip the bear?
Yes. The Bull-Goat's Talisman page says you can sneak past it, and only the Beast Blood is lost by doing so. The dungeons guide lists the cave beside the other Dragonbarrow dungeons.
