The Witcher 3 - Blood and Wine Bruxa

Similar to Blood and Wine Golyat, boss fight with Blood and Wine Bruxa is another boss battle that you can engage pretty early in the game – actually both of them are a part of the same quest.

You encounter Bruxa boss as a part of The Beast of Toussaint main quest. After locating multiple clues and speaking with various NPCs, you will be able to locate her in the basement of Corvo Bianco Vineyard.

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine Bruxa Boss Battle Guide

Unlike the fight with Golyat which starts immediately after a cut-scene. The Bruxa boss fight allows you to prepare and gives you some time. As the game suggests, you should try to read up on Bruxa in the Bestiary Section before starting the fight.

Bruxa is basically a kind of vampire who are intelligent and has the ability to combine words into disgruntled speech, unlike ordinary vampires. Before the fight, you should try to craft some Moon Dust Bombs and Black Blood potion. Moreover, if you are looking to deal some extra damage, you should also try and apply some Vampire Oil on your Silver Sword.

Once you are ready, head down the basement of Corvo Bianco Vineyard and start the fight after a short cut-scene. Do note that the Moon Dust Bomb will not allow you to see Blood and Wine Bruxa completely, but you will be able to make out her outline. Although Bruxa does not have a lot of health, she hits hard and often, thanks to her increased speed.

Moreover, due to her invisibility, she will be able to surprise attack you if you are not using Moon Dust bombs – I’m playing the game on Death March difficulty and she almost killed me 2-3 times.

Quen does not help against her to a great degree, but I found Igni and Yrden to be immensely helpful! The Black Blood will allow you return some damage dealt to you by Bruxa, but make sure that you are not cornered or she will wipe your HP bar away with rapid strikes.

Try to always be on the move and throw Yrden sign whenever you see her coming your way – thanks to Moon Dust Bombs. Once you see her trapped inside the Yrden circle, head in to land a few strikes, toss another bomb, and get out.

You simply need to repeat the strategy shared above until you are able to defeat her. Moreover, do not forget to share your own tips and strategies with us in the comments section below!
