Items

Almost nothing you pick up in Tears of the Kingdom is valuable in your pouch. A Light of Blessing does nothing until a Goddess Statue takes it, a Korok Seed does nothing until Hestu shakes it, and a Poe is worthless until a Bargainer Statue accepts it in the dark. So this guide sorts the 56 item pages we have written by the counter that takes each item off your hands, because that is the question a full inventory actually asks: who do I give this to, and what do they give back? Every item and location page is linked from the section for its counter.

The Goddess Statue: Lights of Blessing and Sage's Wills

Two of the rarest things you can carry go to the same stone figure. Every shrine pays one Light of Blessing, and our Goddess Statue locations page lists the twelve statues on the surface plus the three at the springs where four Lights become a Heart Container or another fifth of a stamina wheel; the health and stamina guide covers which to pick. The same statues take Sage's Wills, and here the arithmetic is fixed: there are 20 of them, all on sky islands, four are needed per upgrade, and there are five sages, so the whole sky pays for exactly five sage upgrades. The Depths have no Goddess Statues at all; that layer has Bargainer Statues instead.

Hestu: Korok Seeds

Hestu is the only person in Hyrule who wants Korok Seeds, and our seed page maps them by region on the surface and in the sky, with more than 900 hidden in total. Each seed puzzle pays one, and carrying a stranded Korok to its friend pays two. The Dandelion puzzle on the Great Sky Island is the first of them most players meet: hit the flower and catch it before it lands. What Hestu hands back is an inventory slot for weapons, bows or shields, and the price in seeds climbs with every slot in a category, which the inventory guide and our Hestu page both track as he moves from Lindor's Brow to Lookout Landing to the Korok Forest.

The Bargainer Statue: Poes

Poes are the currency of the Depths and have no other use, which is why our Bargainer Statue page tells you not to bother collecting them until you have found a statue: one stands at Lookout Landing and the rest are underground. The prices form a ladder that runs through the rest of our guides. Bomb Flowers cost 12 Poes each. The legendary weapons you have already found once can be bought back for 100 to 160, a list the weapons guide is built around. The Trousers of Twilight, once unlocked, come back for 400. Those Poes are gathered from the glowing blue flames scattered across the floor of the Depths, so the same trip that lights Lightroots, all 120 of which sit directly under a surface shrine, is the trip that fills the purse.

The Crystal Refinery: Crystallized Charges, and the Zonai kit it powers

The Steward Construct at a Crystal Refinery takes exactly 100 Crystallized Charges for one energy cell. You can add 45 cells in all, which is 15 more energy wells at three cells each, so a full battery costs 4,500 charges farmed from Zonaite and from Frox in the Depths. Our Crystal Refinery locations page lists the refineries, starting with the ones near Nachoyah Shrine and Lookout Landing. Everything the battery drives is covered on three more pages: Zonai Devices lists what each device does and every dispenser in the sky, on the surface and below, Zonai Charges are the capsules that feed a dispenser and top up a running build, and Schema Stones save blueprints for Autobuild so a build can be recalled without the parts.

The Great Fairy: what armor upgrades eat

Four fountains take materials and rupees and hand back armor stars. Our Great Fairy Fountain page places Terra, Cotera, Kaysa and Mija and explains why each needs the Stable Trotters played to her first. The materials they ask for are the point of most monster hunting: dragon parts shot from the four dragons on their flight paths, Moblin Fangs and Moblin Horns from the camps across Hyrule Field and the Depths, the Electric Keese Wings of the Gerudo Desert, and the gems from rare ore deposits, which our page also prices as a rupee source. The upgrade guide handles the fountain side of the transaction, and the armor guide sorts the sets those upgrades go on.

The cooking pot: ingredients and critters

Our cooking pot locations page marks every pot from Central Hyrule to Hebra with coordinates, and cooking materials covers what goes in, from meat and seafood to fruit, vegetables and seasonings. The ingredient pages each answer one need. Spicy Peppers are the first cold-resistance meal on the Great Sky Island. Fire Fruit warms you and burns anything weak to fire. Sundelions are the only ingredient that restores hearts lost to Gloom. Golden Apples from the orchard behind Sonapan Shrine push heart recovery up to seven. The Sun Pumpkin only grows in Hateno once the Mayoral Election is settled. Elixir materials, the lizards, frogs, butterflies and beetles, turn monster parts into elixirs in the same pot. Two pages here are corrections rather than recipes: the Ancient Arowana is not for eating but for Yona, who trades it for the first piece of Zora Armor, and Billson Mushrooms do not exist, the page explaining what the Sahasra Slope tower actually wants instead. The best recipes roundup is where the pot's output is ranked.

Fuse: the parts that become weapons and arrows

Fuse is a counter you carry with you, and several material pages are really about what they do on the end of a stick or an arrow. Brightbloom Seeds, farmed at the Rauru Settlement Ruins Well, are thrown or fused to arrows to light the Depths. Hylian Pine Cones make an updraft on a campfire and fuse to gear; our page farms them at the Lucky Clover Gazette, Lindor's Brow and the Tabantha Frontier. Moblin horns and dragon parts serve both this counter and the Great Fairy, which is why they are worth hoarding. Arrows themselves are farmed from Coliseums, temples, wooden boxes and enemy archers, or bought in bulk. The best Fuse combinations roundup ranks the results.

Addison, Ramella and the Purah Pad: things you hand over or point at

Some items are taken by a person rather than a statue. Addison holds up President Hudson's signs at 81 spots across Hyrule and pays 20 rupees and a meal every time you prop one with Ultrahand and let him step away. Ramella takes ores ten at a time at a fair price once her quest is done. The Silver Rupee page lists where the 100-rupee coins are buried and which quests pay them, and the rupee farming guide puts all of it in order.

The Purah Pad takes photographs and maps. The Ring Ruins stone slab photograph is a single picture that moves the Fifth Sage quest along. The Geoglyph page maps the eleven drawings and the twelve Dragon's Tears they hold, each tear a memory unlocked after Impa and the Geoglyphs. The 31 Old Maps are found on sky islands and each marks a chest of armor or materials in the Depths directly below, the same stacking the shrines and Lightroots follow. The Travel Medallion places a warp point of your own anywhere on the map. The landmark map covers more than a hundred named sites across all three layers, and the eight Satori cherry blossom trees take a piece of fruit and answer by lighting every cave entrance nearby. Misko's Treasure works the same way with a person instead of a pad: Meeshy's clues point at the Climbing Gear, the Barbarian set and the Rubber set.

The shrine altar: 18 green crystals

The last counter is a pedestal that only accepts one thing. Eighteen shrines in the game are missing when you first see the beam of light, and each has to be paid for with a green crystal carried, floated, rocketed or sailed back to its altar. Our items section holds a page for every one of those deliveries, and the shrines guide shows where each finished shrine sits in the three-layer map.

Frequently asked questions

What are Poes for?

Only Bargainer Statues take them. They sell Bomb Flowers at 12 Poes, buy back legendary weapons you have already owned at 100 to 160, and sell some armor at up to 400. Until you have found a statue there is no reason to pick Poes up.

How many Crystallized Charges does a full battery cost?

4,500. Each energy cell costs 100 charges at a Crystal Refinery, and 45 cells can be added, which is 15 extra energy wells of three cells each.

Can I spend Sage's Wills anywhere but a Goddess Statue?

No. Four Wills at any Goddess Statue strengthen one sage's vow. With 20 Wills in the sky and five sages, that is five upgrades in total, so plan which sage gets each one.
