Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Sage’s Will Locations and Uses

The Sage’s Will is a unique upgrade material in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, for which you need to upgrade each Sage Vow individually. This item can only be found in remote locations on the Sky Islands.

There is a total of 20 Sage’s Will spread across the skies of Hyrule in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Some are hidden behind puzzles, some require you to take down scary foes, and some can be looted from treasure chests.

This will be a very long journey. We recommend that you unlock all the Skyview Towers and all the Sky Shrines for easy access. You can also check out our combat tips for surviving the encounter with King Gleeok.

What are Sage’s Wills and How to Use them

The Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom serves only one purpose, which is to upgrade your vow with Sages. Once you have four Sage’s Wills in your inventory, visit any Goddess statue in Hyrule.

You will be prompted to use those to upgrade your vow with a particular sage to Solemn Vow. However, it will only increase their attack power. This means that if you increase Tulin’s Vow, he will deal more damage to the enemies with his arrows, but his Gust ability will remain the same.

As there are 20 Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and 5 Sages, you can upgrade all their vows in a single playthrough. You can only upgrade a Sage’s Vow one time. It won’t appear again if you have already upgraded it.

Below is the order we recommend for upgrading Sage’s Vow.

1. Tulin. Proves invaluable to take down flying enemies and stunning larger foes.

2. Yunobo. Hits like a truck and knocks back small to medium foes.

3. Riju. Deals large amounts of damage with fast attacks.

4. Sidon. Acts as your shield and turns aggressive against larger enemies.

5. Mineru. You can ride the zonai construct to deal more damage to enemies and break larger boulders with ease.

Sage’s Will Locations in Zelda: TotK

While you will come across a lot of Sage’s Will by chance, if you plan on doing a run specifically to find them, we recommend that you prepare aptly, as you will be facing some of the most difficult enemies the game has to offer.

Mark the Sage’s Will you have found with a pin of your choice. The game doesn’t have any markings for them, making it a bit difficult to track which ones you have found and which ones are left.

Below is a list of items that can and will save you against certain death while allowing you to reach otherwise inaccessible areas.

1. Eldin Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (1765, 2266, 0827)

Skyview Tower: Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will is on a small island in the Eldin Sky Archipelago (the only one). The coordinates for this spot are (1765, 2266, 0827). You can arrive here by paragliding North from the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower.

You can also fast-travel to the Mayam Shrine in North Hyrule Sky Archipelago and glide east from there.

Head into the island and open the chest inside a small chamber to get the Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

2. South Eldin Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (1781, 0972, 1226).

Skyview Tower: Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will is on an island in the South Eldin Sky Archipelago. The coordinates for this spot are (1781, 0972, 1226). You can quickly get here by paragliding south from the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower.

You can also fast-travel to the Kadaunar Shrine, which makes your journey a lot easier.

Go to the Southernmost Island on this Archipelago (you can simply glide here or use the rails to reach it) and drop down from its top to locate a small opening. The treasure chest is hidden in a chamber behind the vines.

Cut or burn the vines to access the treasure chest and obtain the next Sage’s Will.

3. Sokkala Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (3810, 1580, 1144)

Skyview Tower: Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is in the Sokkala Sky Archipelago in the Akkala Sky Region. The coordinates for this location are (3810, 1580, 1144). You can get here by paragliding Northeast from the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower.

You can always fast-travel to the Natak shrine on the same archipelago for easier access.

Grab the ball at the center of the planet with the Ultrahand ability. It can be used to rotate the surface plate present in the planet-shaped body. Make sure that half of the opening is covered by the plate (refer to the picture above).

Now go outside the opening and then once more enter the opening through the bottom hole. This will take you to the lower part of the planet, where you can loot Sage’s Will from a treasure chest.

4. Well Spring Island

Coordinates: (3378, 0624, 1290)

Skyview Tower: Upland Zorana Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will can be found on Well Spring Island in the Lanayru Sky Archipelago. The coordinates for this location are (3378, 0624, 1290). You can get here by paragliding east from the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower.

You will visit this area during Sidon of Zora’s main quest. You can use the Igoshon Shrine to fast-travel there immediately.

You must defeat the Flux Construct II Guardian, which will drop a chest that contains a Sage’s Will.

5. Lanayru Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (3016, -0286, 0894)

Skyview Island: Upland Zorana Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will is in the Lanayru Sky Archipelago on a sphere island. The coordinates for this location are (3016, -0286, 0894). You can quickly get here by paragliding east from the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower.

You can also fast-travel to the Jirutagomac Shrine, which is situated inside Sphere Island.

Head to the lower half of the Sphere Island and open a chest that contains a Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

To reach the lower half, remove the zonai fan from the lever and then jump from the opening. Immediately turn back while gliding to enter the lower half of the island.

6. South of Lanayru Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (3005, -0258, 0894)

Skyview Tower: Upland Zorana Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will can be found on an island south of Lanayru Sky Archipelago. The coordinates for this location are (3005, -0258, 0894). You can get here by paragliding south from the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower.

Make sure that you have at least three stamina rings or a lot of stamina recovery items to make the glide. This area has an irritating Yellow Aerocuda enemy that can make you fall.

You must fight a Flux Construct II, which will drop a chest. Open the chest to obtain the Sage’s Will. The easiest way to defeat this enemy is by removing its limbs with Ultrahand.

7. North Necluda Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (1934, -1063, 0961)

Skyview Tower: Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is in the North Necluda Sky Archipelago on a small circular island, right above the Kakariko Village. The coordinates for this location are (1934, -1063, 0961). You can get here by paragliding east from the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower.

You can also fast-travel to the Josiu Shrine and then move northeast to find the location.

Turn the lever to rotate the launcher to face the small island. Use the launcher to get airborne to reach the small circular island. Open the chest on this island to get the Sage’s Will.

8. Eventide Island

This Sage’s Will is located on an Island above Eventide Island in the southeast corner of the Hyrule Map. The coordinates for this island are (4652, -3827, 1065). This island is too far from the coast. So, you must build a Hoover Plane with many batteries to fly here.

You can fast-travel to Kumamayn Shrine and ride a Hoover Plane southwest to reach this island.

You can also try your luck with Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower, but it is a very long shot.

Here, you will face a King Gleook in this region of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You must shoot each eye at each dragon’s head three times. After you defeat it, King Gleeok will drop a chest that contains a Sage’s Will.

Using Aerocuda or Keese Eyes with your multi-shot bows is the best way to defeat this behemoth. These eyes convert arrows into homing arrows, hitting the target perfectly.

9. South Necluda Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (2567, -3612, 0894)

Skyview Tower: Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will is on a small circular island in the South Necluda Sky Archipelago. The coordinates for this location are (2567, -3612, 0894). You can arrive here by gliding south from the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower.

You can also fast-travel to Kumamayn shrine and rotate the lever to make the launcher face this island. Use the launcher to get airborne and safely glide to reach this small yet dangerous sky island.

You must fight a Flux Construct III to get the chest and obtain the Sage’s Will. This is one of the most formidable foes. Remove its limbs to incapacitate it. Use Recall on its block to reach its top once it flies away into the sky.

10. Thunderhead Isles

Coordinates: (0967, -3307, 0846)

Skyview Tower: Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is on Thunderhead Island in the Faron Sky Region. Storms always surround these islands, so you must be careful when arriving here. You can use the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower to get here by gliding west.

You can also fast-travel to Joku-usin Shrine and then go to Northwest. You will visit this area during the quest to locate the fifth sage.

The Sage’s Will can be found in a chest located west of the islands on these coordinates (0967, -3307, 0846). Break the boulders patch on the roof to enter this area to get the chest. You can also enter from the side wall.

Beware of the Like-Like enemy in this area.

11. Dragonhead Island

Coordinates: (1309, -3210, 0459)

Skyview Tower: Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower

The Sage’s Will is on Dragonhead Island in the East of Thunderhead Isles in the Faron Sky. You can use the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower to get here by gliding west.

You can also use the Ukoojisi Shrine to fast-travel here.

You can see the chest spot at these coordinates (1309, -3210, 0459). It is on the lower jaw of the dragonhead, as shown in the picture above. Open the chest to get the Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

12. Faron Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (-0360, -2586, 0894)

Skyview Island: Popla Foothills Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will is located on the circular island of the Faron Sky Archipelago. It is to the Northwest of the Thunderhead Isles.

The coordinates for this location are (-0360, -2586, 0894). You can arrive by paragliding southwest from the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower, which is right above Lake Hylia.

You can also fast-travel to the Room of Awakening on the Great Sky Island and then travel southwest to reach this island.

You must fight a Flux Construct III to get the chest and obtain the Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To defeat this enemy, use the same strategy as mentioned earlier.

13. South Hyrule Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (-0953, -1753, 1006)

Skyview Tower: Hyrule Field Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will is on a small island with two pools in the South Hyrule Sky Archipelago. The coordinates for this location are (-0953, -1735, 1006). You can come here by paragliding southwest from the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower.

You can also fast-travel to the Jinodok Shrine.

The only way to obtain the treasure chest containing the next Sage’s Will is by draining the small pool at the bottom.

1. Cut a tree and place its log near the drain of the small pool.

2. Pick up its drain with Ultrahand and keep it up for a few seconds.

3. Let go of the drain and then use the Recall ability on it.

4. Attach the log to the drain and rest it on the hand above. This will stop it from going back.

5. Open the treasure chest to obtain the Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

14. East Gerudo Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (-1959, -1812, 1140)

Skyview Tower: Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will can be obtained from the East Gerudo Sky Archipelago on the small northern island. The coordinates for this spot are (-1959, -1812, 1140). You can arrive here by paragliding northeast from the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower or fast-traveling to the Rakashog Shrine.

Use the lever near the shrine to adjust the direction of the launcher platform. Use it to reach the island marked on the map. You will notice a treasure chest locked behind a door with a large orange crystal on its top.

Use the Ascend ability to go to the top floor. Avoid the flamethrower zonai device and pick up the mirror. Drop it to the bottom floor and jump down. Wait until the evening (5 pm onwards) for the sunlight to appear in this area.

Pick up the mirror with the Ultrahand and use it to reflect the sunlight on the orange crystal. It will turn green, and the door will open. Open the treasure chest to obtain the Sage’s Will.

While here, don’t forget to take an Old Map from the treasure chest on the upper floor.

15. East Gerudo Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (-4447, -2730, 1419)

Skyview Tower: Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will is on a small island far west of the East Gerudo Sky Archipelago. The coordinates for this location are (-4447, -2730, 1419). It is far from any shrine or Skyview tower, so you must build a Hoover Plane and fly to get here.

You will fight King Gleeok, the three-headed dragon, with each head using different elemental attacks. After defeating him, it will drop a chest and other items. Open the chest to get the Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

16. West Hyrule Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (-2290, -0411, 1938)

Skyview Tower: Hyrule Field Skyview Tower

You can find this Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on a small circular island on the West Hyrule Sky Archipelago. The coordinates for this spot are (-2290, -0411, 0894).

The only way to reach this place is by either using a Hoover plane or fast-traveling to the Mayasiar Shrine inside Starview Island on the North Gerudo Sky Island. Jump from there and then glide east to reach this island.

There, you will face a Flux Construct III enemy, one of the game’s most formidable bosses. Remove its limbs with Ultrahand to shatter its body and hit the glowing block.

Once the enemy gets airborne, use its falling back to go up by using the Recall ability. Once the enemy is defeated, you can open the treasure chest to obtain a Sage’s Will.

17. North Gerudo Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (-3457, -0264, 1938)

Skyview Tower: Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will can be found on Starview Island in the North Gerudo Sky Archipelago. The coordinates for this location are (-3457, -0264, 1938). You can arrive here by paragliding north from the Gerudo Highland Skyview Tower or by fast traveling to the Mayasiar Shrine.

There, you need to solve a mirror puzzle. You must make the light shine on an orange crystal above a locked door.

1. First, head to the pedestal straight from the locked room, rotate it left, and shine the light on the corner platform.

2. Now, rotate the pedestal on the left of the locked room to the corner mirror.

3. Finally, rotate the pedestal on the right side of the locked room and shine its light on the sensor. The door will open. Open the chest inside the door to get the Sage’s Will.

18. West Hebra Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (-3780, 1572, 1238)

Skyview Tower: Rospro Pass Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is located on a small island north of Lightcast Island. The coordinates for this location are (-3780, 1572, 1238). You can arrive here by paragliding east from the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. Arrive at the island and open the chest to get the Sage’s Will.

19. South Hebra Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (-3075, 2150, 0647)

Skyview Tower: Rospro Pass Skyview Tower

This Sage’s Will is on the South Hebra Sky Archipelago on two small linked islands in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The coordinates for this location are (-3075, 2150, 0647). You can arrive here by paragliding south from the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. Arrive at the island and open the chest to get the Sage’s Will.

20. West Hebra Sky Archipelago

Coordinates: (-4464, 2279, 1246)

Skyview Tower: Rospro Pass Skyview Tower

You will find this Sage’s Will on a circular island in the West Hebra Sky Archipelago. The coordinates for this location are (-4464, 2279, 1246). You can arrive here by paragliding from the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower.

You must fight and defeat the King Gleeok mini-boss to obtain the chest with the final Sage’s Will in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
