How To Complete Rutafu-um Shrine In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

Rutafu-Um Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a hidden shrine in the Hebra region. This shrine is inside a cave, which is challenging to find, just like most other Shrine map locations. The Rutafu-um shrine is also a blessing Shrine paired with a crystal shrine quest you must complete.

The only tricky part in completing this shrine is finding it. This guide will help you reach the Rutafu-um Shrine and complete the Shrine quest without using excessive resources in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Rutafu-um Shrine Location in Zelda: TotK

Rutafu-um Shrine (-2996, 3102, 0514) is in the Hebra region, northwest of Pikida Skyview Tower, near Selmie’s Spot.

It is north of Coldsnap Hollow and northwest of Hebra East summit, inside Hebra Mountains Northwest Cave (-2994, 3208, 0560).

This region is freezing cold. We recommend that you purchase and equip Snowquill armor before venturing here.

1. Go straight From the cave’s entrance and drop down to the bottom.

2. Turn back and pass the small lake with four enemies sitting around a campfire. One of them is a silver Bokoblin that drops powerful fusion items.

3. Defeat the enemies and turn left to find Rutafu-um Shrine. Interact with its entrance to activate a fast travel point and start The Northwest Hebra Cave Crystal shrine quest.

Rutafu-um Shrine Walkthrough

To unlock and enter Rutafu-um Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you must find and return its life crystal. To find the crystal, follow the green light originating from the shrine.

1. Turn back to locate the crystal inside the freezing lake. You can enter it and retrieve the crystal yet.

If Autobuild ability is unlocked, use it to craft a boat from memory.

2. Hit some icicles hanging from the wall with arrows. Fuse the icicles with your weapon and return to the pond’s other side.

3. Hit the water with your weapon to create ice blocks you can stand on.

4. Keep creating these ice blocks until you reach the drowned green crystal.

5. Pick up the green crystal with Ultrahand and place it outside of the pond.

6. Get out of the freezing pond the way you entered it and carry the crystal all the way back to the shrine’s entrance.

7. This will complete The Northwest Hebra Cave Crystal shrine quest, and Rutafu-um Shrine will unlock in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

8. As this is a blessing shrine, you won’t have to fight enemies or solve puzzles. Open the treasure chest to obtain a Topaz.

9. Interact with Rauru and Sonia’s statues to complete the shrine and earn a Light of blessing as a reward.

You can spend four Lights of Blessing at any Goddess Statue to either increase your stamina or health.
