While finding Ishokin Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is easy, completing it is a difficult task due to the dubious nature of its quest. You need to find and tame the Horse God to enter the shrine, but the quest doesn’t give you any clue about its location.

Ishokin Shrine Location in Zelda: TotK

Ishokin Shrine is in the Southwest Region of Faron Grasslands.  It is west of Papetto Grove and east of Oseira Plains.

Ishokin Shrine Walkthrough

Ishokin Shrine is a crystal quest shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This shrine can only be unlocked and entered once you return its life crystal back to it.

1. Interacting with the shrine will unlock a fast travel point, and a green light will be emitted from it.

2. Follow the green light to find the green crystal present near an NPC named Baddek.

3. Talking to Baddek will start a side quest called Ride the Giant Horse. He won’t hand over the crystal to you unless you find and tame the horse god and hand it over to him.

Don’t try to steal the crystal, as it will end up angering Baddek.

4. The said horse god can be found east of Ishokin shrine near the Highland stable. It is near the Lake of the Horse God, and its exact coordinates are (0743, -3713, 0122).

5. To tame horse god, you need at least two stamina wheels. There are multiple ways to approach the horse god. You can either freeze it with Ice arrows (Arrows + Ice Fruit) or sneak up on it from behind.

6. Once you ride this beautiful white horse with a golden mane, all you need to do is maintain your stamina and calm it down periodically until it breaks.

7. Once you are done, take the horse god back to Baddek. Talk to him while you are still on the horse’s back (ZL + A).

8. Baddek will give you both the horse god and the green crystal. Pick up the crystal with Ultrahand and take it all the way back to Ishokin shrine’s entrance.

9. Once you place the crystal at the shrine’s entrance, the quest will be completed, and you can now enter it.

10. As this is a blessing shrine, there are no combat or puzzle challenges inside. Open the treasure chest to obtain a Topaz.

11. Interact with Rauru and Sonia’s statues to earn a Light of blessing as a reward and complete Ishokin Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
