Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Zora’s Domain

Make your way to the Kakariko Village, either on foot or just fast travel there. Now make your way to the mountain peaks to the north.

You will find a body of water and if you look down you will spot two more shines.

The shrines are optional, once you have decided what you want to do with the shrines go through the swamp and in your way you will encounter one of many Zora swimming around. Each of them will direct you towards the Sheikah Tower.

The Zora will ask you to go upstream to Zora River that you will find north of the tower. Zora will tell you that Prince Sidon is looking for someone like Link. Swim across the river and go east.

In your way, you will also find the Lanayru Tower clear it if you want. If you decide to go to the tower and after clearing it, take the path to the north from the tower.

This area is filled with treacherous enemies and if this is the first area you encounter after Kakariko Village then you are in for a challenge.

Continue down the path and you will reach the Indigo Bridge and here you will find Zora Prince, Sidon.

After talking to him, you’ll get an Electro Elixir from him that gives you mid-level resistance upon the use of electricity. After that a new quest will trigger Reach Zora’s Domain.

Follow the marker for the quest and try to stay on the path. As you move ahead in the area you will see blue beacons on the ground. Follow these beacons as they will lead you to your objective.

Keep moving ahead until you see Price Sidon again. Continue down the path and at one point, you will find your path blocked by spikes. Find your ay around and keep moving forward on the path.

Eventually, you will come across the Luto’s Crossing, a massive bridge where you will again find Sidon. Then you will have to face a massive sized Moblin. Defeat it and continue down the path.

From here the path is still lengthy but will be relatively easy to navigate, just follow the path and you will come to the entrance of Zora’s Domain.

The Zora’s Domain

Memory Location

As you reach Zora’s domain talk to Sidon and he will introduce Link to the king. At this point in the game, you’re allowed to explore the area and interact with characters. The most recommended place to explore is the Ne’ez Yohma Shrine.

Once you’re done exploring, go up the staircase and you will meet King Dorephan. The king will inform Link of the dire situation of Zora’s Domain.

Link will also receive the Zora Armor by the King. The Zora Armor allows Link to swim up waterfalls. At the end of the conversation a new quest will trigger, the Divine Beast Vah Ruta.

Go back to the entrance of Zora’s Domain and by the large statue of Mipha you will find Muzu, he’ll refuse Links help. Being in front of the statue, memory will trigger that Link has of Mipha. Until you put on the Zora Armor, Muzu will not believe Link.

Wear the armor and Muzu will help Link. He mentions that Link needs to find Shock Arrows that can be found atop of Ploymus Mountain, but the area is guarded by a Lynel. Muzu says that you will need to collect at least 20 Shock Arrows.

Go back to the king and talk to him again and this time exit Zora’s Domain from the east. Follow the sign that says shortcut to the Ploymus Mountain.

From the sign jump on the rock and swim into the waterfall. As long as you have equipped the Zora armor, Link will be able to swim up the waterfall. Repeat it in the next area and the area after that.

As you reach the top, walk clockwise around the mountain until you reach the peak. Here you will find the vicious Lynel.

Keep in mind if this is the first realm you chose, then dealing with the Lynel is almost impossible. However, you do not necessarily need to defeat the vicious Lynel. Just collect the shock arrows that you came to collect.

Mostly you’ll find the Shock arrows atop of tree trunks. The most recommended strategy is to save each time you find a Shock arrow because this way you won’t have to collect them all over again.

After collecting 20 arrows make your way to the south end of the mountain near a caution sign, from here leap down reach the East Reservoir Lake.

Now talk to Sidon and prepare yourself for the battle. Once you are ready to fight the Divine Beast Vah Ruta talk to Sidon and Link will jump on Sidon’s back.

Sidon will swim along and the Devine beast will throw Ice Blocks towards you. Deflect the blocks by shooting it with a regular arrow or else you’ll receive a lot of damage. The other option is to break the Ice Blocks by using your Cryonis ability. The third option is to directly shoot arrows.

Then Sidon will swim towards the waterfall. Using Zora armor swim up the waterfall and it will launch you into the air.

While in the air use your shock arrows at a glowing pink orb. Hitting each pink orb will change the battle.

The Divine Beast will now throw a spherical ice block at you and it will chase you down from the back.

Shoot it with the regular arrow and again swim up the waterfall to shoot the next pink orb using shock arrow.

As the final phase of the battle begins there will be significantly more ice blocks for you to get rid of to hit the beast. Keep doing it until the beast is defeated

Sidon will drop off Link at the entrance of the Divine Beast Vah Ruta Dungeon.
