Resident Evil 4 Castle Treasure Locations

The Castle area of Resident Evil 4 is filled with treasures to find and sell to the merchant and we will help you collect them all.

After completing the Village region of RE4, you move on to the Castle, home of the Salazar family. The Castle section of Resident Evil 4 covers chapters 7 to 12 of the game. Similar to the Village, it is filled with various treasures to find and sell to the merchant for money. There are a total of 41 Resident Evil 4 castle treasures to find within this region, and all can be missed.

You need to find all 41 treasures in Castle in a single playthrough of RE4 to unlock the “Raider” Trophy/Achievement.

Where to find treasure map of Castle in Resident Evil 4

Castle’s treasure map in RE4 can be traded for 3 spinels from the Merchant. He is available inside the very first room to the right as soon as you enter the castle. We highly recommend getting the treasure map for the castle as it will mark all the treasures on your map.

Castle’s treasures require a lot more extensive puzzle-solving and back-tracking. Some puzzles can only be solved with the help of Ashley later on. A few treasures can be fitted with ornaments in various treasure combinations to fetch a much higher price than the base model. The Merchant will always warn you if you try to sell the treasure or ornaments separately.

Resident Evil 4 Castle treasure locations

The Castle area of Resident Evil 4 also involves Ashley’s gameplay segment with 3 treasures to be found. This area can’t be revisited so be extra careful while controlling Ashley. Minor spoilers to follow.

Castle Treasure #1 (Vintage Compass)

Vintage Compass can be found inside a treasure box behind the Merchant. circle around the area to find it. Vintage Compass can be sold to the Merchant for 8000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #2 (Elegant Bangle)

To find Elegant Bangle, destroy the counterweight for the cannon. There is a door right next to where the counterweight was. Go through it and take a sharp left. Go outside and climb the stairs. Drop down the destroyed rafters and the Elegant Bangle is inside a treasure box right next to the door.

The elegant bangle can be equipped with 2 gemstones to fetch a much higher price. Elegant Bangle can be sold to the Merchant for 5000 pesetas without gemstones.

Castle Treasure #3 (Elegant Perfume Bottle)

Elegant Perfume Bottle is inside a locked room to the left of the Audience Chamber. You will need to boost Ashley to climb through a broken wall and unlock the gate for you.

Turn right from the door and you can find Elegant Perfume Bottle inside a treasure chest at the end of the corridor. Elegant Perfume Bottle can be sold for 10000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #4 (Ruby)

Ruby gemstone can be found in the same area. Go back and squeeze through the broken wall. Turn left and you will see a hanging silver lantern with a ruby inside it. Destroy the lantern with the gun. Ruby can be sold to the merchant in RE4 for 3000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #5 (Spinel)

Spinel can be found after getting out of the dungeon. Unlock the gate with dungeon key and climb the ladder. Spinel will be sitting on a cupboard right in front of you. Spinel can be traded for various non-purchasable items from the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #6 (Gold Bangle)

Gold Bangle can be looted from a treasure box after completing the Treasury Sword puzzle. Go straight and you will find it right in front of you. Gold bangle can be sold to the Merchant for 9800 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #7 (Golden Hourglass)

Golden Hourglass requires one additional step. Go through the door after finding the previous treasure. Turn right and go to the extreme end of balcony. Kick the collapsed ladder to open it. Turn back and jump on the first chandelier to move across. Turn right and jump down a hole in the floor.

Golden Hourglass is inside a treasure box there. Golden Hourglass can be sold for 10000 pesetas to the Merchant in RE4.

Castle Treasure #8 (Mirror with Pearls and Rubies)

Mirror with pearls and rubies can be found in the wine cellar after defeating the summoner enemy (red robes). It is housed inside a treasure box right behind where the summoner was standing. Mirror with pearls and rubies can be sold for 10000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #9 (Extravagant Clock)

Extravagant Clock can be found inside Bindery. The treasure chest is right beside the bonfire. Extravagant clock can be equipped with 2 gemstones. Extravagant clock can be sold to the Merchant for 9000 pesetas and for way more with proper gemstones.

Don’t forget to pick up the small key where you first encounter a new enemy.

Castle Treasure #10 (Brass Pocket Watch)

The Brass pocket watch can be found inside the bindery. Backtrack to the bindery and unlock a drawer with the small key to obtain the Brass Pocket Watch. It can be sold to the Merchant for 8000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #11 (Ornate Necklace)

Ornate necklace can be found on Castle Battlements. Go back through the corridors to find a switch to the right. After flipping the switch, go through the door and climb the yellow rubble. Go straight to climb another platform and turn left to drop down a hole. Go straight and take a sharp right turn as soon as you come out. Ornate Necklace will be sitting inside a treasure box.

Beware there are at least 4 enemies in this area. Ornate necklace can be equipped with 4 gemstones. ornate Necklace can be sold to the Merchant for 11000 pesetas and for way more with proper gemstones.

Castle Treasure #12 (Emerald)

Emerald can be found on the West battlement of the Castle in RE4. Drop down from the right side of the first battlement and climb the battlement to the west. There is a treasure box holding the Emerald. Beware of the area as an Ogre will be throwing rubble at you. emerald can be sold to the Merchant for 5000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #13 (Ruby)

Ruby can be found in a room under the third tower on castle battlements. Flip the switch to the day and drop down the door. This is the area with Ganados shooting fire arrows at you and Ogre will be throwing ruble.

Turn around and enter a room with an explosive barrel. Ruby is housed in a silver lantern hanging from the roof. ruby can be sold for 3000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #14 (Elegant Chessboard)

Elegant Chessboard is inside a treasure box in a room East of the courtyard maze. There is a fountain statue near the room. Elegant Chessboard can be sold for 13000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #15 (Depraved Idol)

Depraved Idol in RE4 can be found in a locked room inside Wine Cellar. This area will be marked as “Gap in the wall” on your map. Leave the maze through West and backtrack to wine cellar with Ashley. Give her a boost to climb the wall and unlock the door for you. Claim your prize from a treasure box.

Depraved Idol can be sold for 15000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #16 (Alexandrite)

Alexandrite gemstone can be found in Grand Hall. Shoot the silver lantern in the hand of second statue to the right. Alexandrite can be sold for 6000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Don’t forget to get a small key from Grand Hall. Climb up and get to the room in the north. Small key is hidden inside a drawer to the left.

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT

Cubic Device to obtain many treasures and an extremely powerful rifle. It is sitting in a treasure chest in a corridor between Armory and Grand Hall.

Castle Treasure #17 (Yellow Diamond)

yellow Diamond can be found in the armory. Climb up the ladder to the Northwest and pull the lever where summoner was. A treasure chest will appear in the middle of the room containing Yellow Diamond. It can be sold to the Merchant for 7000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #18 (Butterfly Lamp)

Butterfly Lamp can be found in the Grand Hall. Go back to it and enter the room on the right (just before the statues). Use the Cubic device to unlock Square Treasure Box. Butterfly lamp can be equipped with 3 gemstones.

The base price of Butterfly Lamp is 6000 pesetas but it can fetch way more with proper gemstones.

Castle Treasure #19 (Justitia Statue)

Justitia Statue requires a lot of backtracking. Exit through the door to the right after finding previous treasure. Ride a golden gondola to water Hall. Backtrack to Audience Chamber and use the cubic device to find Justitia Statue. It can be sold to the Merchant for 12000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #20 (Gold Bar)

Gold Bar can be found in the same area (Audience Chamber). Gold Bar is inside a locked drawer that can be unlocked with the small key. It can be sold to the Merchant for 10000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #21 (Elegant Perfume Bottle)

Elegant Perfume Bottle can be found by crouching under the books to the Northwest corner of library. Use the second key from the left to open the treasure box. The elegant Perfume Bottle can be sold for 10000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #22 (Sapphire)

Sapphire can be found by going through the lift using the third key from the left. Turn left into the corridor and take first right. Sapphire is inside a locked treasure box that can be opened with the fourth key from the left. Sapphire can be sold to the Merchant for 4000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #23 (Emerald)

Emerald can be found in the Mausoleum. Solve the strings puzzle (Stag, dragon, Snake and Eagle) to open a door. Go through the door and turn right to find a locked treasure box behind the partition. Use the first key to open it. Emerald can be sold for 5000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #24 (CQBR Assault Rifle)

CQBR rifle in RE4 is locked inside a Cubic treasure box on the wall. It is in the library right next to the stairs. Use the cubic device to unlock it. CQBR rifle is very important as it counts towards both treasures and weapons (separate trophies).

Castle Treasure #25 (Golden Lynx)

Golden Lynx is also in the library. Go to the typewriter room above the library where Chapter 9 ended. Use the cubic device on Cubic treasure box to find the Golden Lynx. Golden Lynx can be fitted with 3 gemstones.

The base price of Golden Lynx is 15000 pesetas, but it can fetch way more with proper gemstones.

Castle Treasure #26 (Ruby)

Ruby gemstone can be found in the ballroom. Shoot down a silver lamp behind the ruble on the first floor. Ruby can be sold for 3000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #27 (Ornate Beetle)

Ornate Beetle can be found in the ballroom. Circle around the ground floor to reach the North end. Ornate beetle is housed inside a treasure box. Ornate beetle can be sold for 12000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #28 (Elegant Crown)

Elegant Crown can be found near a corpse in the Depths area of sewers. It is right beside a breakable wall. Elegant crown can be equipped with 5 gemstones.

The base price for elegant crown is 19000 pesetas but it can be sold for much more with proper gemstones.

Castle Treasure #29 (Red Beryl)

Red Beryl can be tracked down from the last treasure. Break the wall and climb up the ladder. Shoot a silver lantern hanging from an alcove to the left. This is right before the typewriter room. Red Beryl can be sold to the Merchant for 9000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #30 (Yellow Diamond)

Yellow Diamond can be found in the underground laboratory. Inside a room where you have to flip a switch to unlock the gate. yellow diamond can be sold to the Merchant for 7000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #31 (Sapphire)

Sapphire gemstone can be found in the mines. Go upstairs and shoot a silver lantern hanging from the rafts to the right. sapphire can be sold for 4000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #32 (Golden Hourglass)

Golden Hourglass can also be found in the mines. activate the lever to lower the bridge. Go across the bridge to find a treasure box hidden in an alcove (towards the very end). The treasure box is just outside the room where the dynamite was. Golden Hourglass can be sold for 10000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #33 (Flagon)

Flagon can be found in the stopover building after the first Minecart ride. Collect Flagon and destroy Clockwork castellan before hopping into the second Minecart as it is a point of no return. Flagon can be equipped with 2 gemstones. Base price for selling Flagon in RE4 is 4000 pesetas but it can fetch much more with proper gemstones.

Castle Treasure #34 (Large Gold Bar)

A large Gold Bar can be found in the hive after the second Minecart ride. Go to the West of the tunnel and blow the explosive barrel there. It will clear the rubble to grant you access to the treasure chest. large Gold Bar can be sold for 10000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Don’t forget to take the small key from the briefcase after the elevator ride.

Castle Treasure #35 (Gold Chicken Egg)

Gold Chicken Egg can be found in the throne room. Instead of riding the Gondola, go through the door opposite to it. backtrack to the throne room which is to the East of the map. use the Cubic Device on Cubic Treasure box. Gold Chicken Egg can be sold for 9000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #36 (Ornate Beetle)

Ornate beetle can be found inside a locked drawer on Castle battlements. From the courtyard typewriter room, go East and then North. Climb some stairs to reach the battlement area. Ornate Bettle can be sold for 12000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #37 (Gold Bar)

Gold Bar can be found in the Clock tower. Turn left from the door on the ground floor, and make another left, to find a treasure box holding a gold bar. Gold Bar can be sold for 10000 pesetas to the Merchant.

Castle Treasure #38 (Alexandrite)

Alexandrite can also be found in the clock tower. Go up one floor. Instead of turning left, go straight to the end and look up to see a hanging silver lantern. Shoot it down to find the Alexandrite. It can be sold to the Merchant for 6000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #39 (Mirror with Pearls and Rubies)

A Mirror with pearls and rubies is on the top floor of the clock tower. Reach the top where the lever to throw the spiked balls is. Don’t drop down from there yet. Instead, go to a ledge on the left through a broken ceiling to claim your reward from a treasure box.

Mirror with pearls and rubies can be sold to the Merchant for 10000 pesetas.

Castle Treasure #40 (Extravagant Clock)

To find the Extravagant Clock, drop down the ledge after collecting the last treasure. A treasure box will be right in front of you. Don’t pull the lever or it will trigger the point of no return. The Extravagant Clock can be equipped with 2 gemstones.

The base price of an Extravagant Clock is 9000 pesetas but it can be sold for much more with proper gemstones.

Castle Treasure #41 (Yellow Diamond)

Yellow Diamond can be found inside a hanging silver lantern after the elevator ride. Cross the boards while crouching or they will break. Yellow Diamond can be sold for 7000 pesetas to the Merchant. This marks the end of the Castle treasure hunting in Resident Evil 4. Major boss fight with Ramon Salazar awaits.
