Items
San Andreas hands each of its three cities a different collectible, and the sets stay inside their cities, give or take one snapshot at the Red County line. The spray-can tags belong to Los Santos, the camera snapshots belong to San Fierro, and the horseshoes belong to Las Venturas. That makes the question of where to start a question of where you are standing, and it also means the three rewards arrive at three different points in the game. Our three location pages, for tags, snapshots and horseshoes, walk the pickups district by district; this page sets them side by side in the order the cities come, which is the same order our safehouses page uses for its purchase gates.

Los Santos: 100 tags and a spray can from Sweet
Tagging starts as a lesson. During Tagging Up Turf, Sweet drives Carl out to Idlewood, shows him how the spray can works, and the pair cover six tags, three in Idlewood and three in East Los Santos. Finishing the mission is what puts the can in the safehouse, and from then on the remaining walls are yours to find. Our tags locations page groups them across twenty-six Los Santos districts. Idlewood and East Los Santos carry ten apiece, the heaviest concentration in the city, while Temple, Vinewood, Pershing Square and Verdant Bluffs hold a single tag each.
A few of the walls need some climbing. One Idlewood tag sits on a carwash roof, reached by parking a car under the shade beside it and stepping up; another roof in East Los Santos has a dumpster placed for the same purpose; two more, in Market and Verona Beach, are up on a building's first floor. Others hide in tunnels: flood tunnels in Idlewood, Willowfield and Ocean Docks, and the Las Colinas train tunnel from the mission everyone remembers for the line about following the train. The page also warns of Ballas hanging around one East Los Santos alley and notes a piece of armor lying next to an East Beach tag. The one reward our page names comes at the hundredth tag, when every kind of weapon becomes available for pickup at Carl's place and the Grove Street family stop carrying knives and pistols in favour of Desert Eagles and MP5s. One honesty note: the page promises 100 and its district lists add up to 98, so treat the last two as ones you will have to spot on your own.
San Fierro: 50 snapshots at $100 a photo
The camera set is the only one of the three that pays cash as you go. Every photo taken at a marked opportunity is worth $100, which makes $5,000 for the full fifty, and finishing the set adds a further $100,000 together with four weapon spawns at the Doherty Garage. Our snapshots locations page is explicit that the set is a condition of 100% completion, which neither of the other two pages claims for its own collectible.
The subjects are San Fierro's landmarks rather than hidden corners: the top beam of the crane by the Doherty Garage, the circular dome of City Hall, the Avispa Country Club's main tower, the pagoda tower and entrance gate in Chinatown, the submarine in the docks and the entrance to Pier 69 beside it, and the middle of the Gant Bridge. Downtown holds six of the fifty, the largest single group. Three need a bit more than a walk: the communication tower in San Fierro Bay is reached by boat, one Red County shot is the small old bridge between the edge of the Easter Bay Airport and the county line, and the military ship in Easter Basin will jump your wanted level straight to six stars if you get too close, so frame it from a distance.
Las Venturas: 50 horseshoes and a Luck stat that starts at nothing
Luck is a stat that starts at null on our page's account, and horseshoes are how it is built. Each one adds 20, so the full fifty push Luck to 1000 and drop $100,000 on top. Our horseshoe locations page spreads them over twenty-seven named areas, with Redsands East holding six and the Emerald Isle four. The very first is under the Welcome to Las Venturas board, and the second, in the same section of the page, is on the roof of a chapel.
The casinos supply a run of the awkward ones: the lowest rooftop of the Four Dragons, the castle tops at Come-A-Lot, the top of the Camel's Toe pyramid and the electrical wires beside it, the big sign on the casino building along the Old Venturas Strip, the circus next to the Starfish, the rocks with a skull at the Pirates in Men's Pants entrance, and the fountain at the Visage. Several of the rooftop pickups are described as jetpack jobs, and our cheats page carries a code that spawns one, which is one way up to the tallest building on the Emerald Isle. Off the Strip, the set runs out to the airport, Greenglass College, the LVA Freight Depot, the Randolph Industrial Estate and the K-A-C-C Military Fuels warehouse.
What the three sets pay together
Cash first: $100,000 for the snapshots, $100,000 for the horseshoes and $5,000 in photo fees, so $205,000 across two cities, with the tags paying in firepower rather than dollars. What that firepower is, alongside every Ammu-Nation price and the skill levels that let Carl carry two guns at once, is on our weapons page. Set against our safehouses page, that is enough to cover the $120,000 Mulholland house in Los Santos or the $100,000 Calton Heights place in San Fierro with change to spare, and the Las Venturas houses top out at $50,000. If cash is the goal rather than completion, the export list on our wanted cars guide pays more for fewer pickups. Everything the three cities hold beyond collectibles, from gyms to the casino safehouses, is laid out on our San Andreas guide.
Questions our pages answer
What happens when all 50 horseshoes are collected? Luck reaches 1000 and Carl receives $100,000. Do the tags count toward 100%? Our tags page does not tie them to the completion figure; it describes the weapon rewards only. The snapshots page is the one that names 100% outright. Where is the first horseshoe? Under the Welcome to Las Venturas board, with the second listed atop a chapel in the same section of our page. What do the snapshots unlock besides money? Four weapon spawns at the Doherty Garage in San Fierro.
