Locations
Every property in GTA Online is bought the same way, through a website on your phone and a marker on the map, and every one of our five location pages is really a price list. What differs is what you get for walking through the door. A garage is a parking space and nothing else. An apartment is a parking space plus the planning room every heist runs from. A nightclub or an agency is a business that pays whether or not you are logged in. The Diamond Casino is a place you can only enter to start a storyline. Read the pages in that order and the prices stop looking arbitrary.
Story-mode property, the cinemas, the cab company and the golf club, is a different system with weekly income and breakeven periods, and it lives on our properties page under the mechanics guide. Everything below is Online.

| A parking space and a planning room | Houses and apartments | $80,000 for two cars to $400,000 for ten | Dynasty 8 real estate site |
| A business that pays every day | Nightclubs | $1,135,000 at LSIA to $1,700,000 in West Vinewood | After Hours update |
| A business that unlocks The Contract | Agencies | $2,010,000 in Little Seoul to $2,830,000 in Hawick | The Contract update |
| A storyline | Diamond Casino and Resort | $500 membership, then a penthouse | East Vinewood, behind the racetrack |
A parking space: garages
The garages page is the cheapest way to stop losing cars, and its advice is to buy one before a house if money is short. Two-car garages run from $25,000 on Little Bighorn Avenue and Popular Street in East Los Santos to $34,000 on Innocence Boulevard, with the cheap ones clustered in East Los Santos and Blaine County. Six-car garages sit between $62,500 on Route 68 and $80,000 on Roy Lowenstein Boulevard. Ten-car garages start at $105,000 on South Shambles Street and top out at $150,000 in Murrieta Heights. All 27 are on the Dynasty real estate site, and none of them does anything but store vehicles, which is what separates them from the next page.
A parking space with a planning room: houses and apartments
The houses page lists 32 apartments by garage size, and the garage is the only thing the page's own text distinguishes them by. Two-car apartments run from $80,000 (Rockford Drive) to $112,000 (Cougar Avenue). Six-car apartments go from $125,000 at The Royale to $150,000 on Bay City Avenue. Ten-car apartments open at $200,000 in Del Perro Heights and climb through Alta Street, Richards Majestic, Tinsel Towers, Weazel Plaza and Integrity Way to the four Eclipse Towers units between $373,000 and $400,000. What makes an apartment more than a big garage is on our Fleeca Job page: Lester's call sends you to your apartment to host heists, so the planning board for every job on the quests guide from Fleeca to Pacific Standard lives in one of these.
A business: nightclubs and agencies
The nightclubs page compares the ten After Hours clubs, which are identical inside, so the choice is price against distance from wherever you already work. LSIA is the cheapest at $1,135,000 and the furthest from the mission areas; Vespucci Canals at $1,320,000 and Cypress Flats at $1,370,000 are the next cheapest; Mission Row ($1,440,000), La Mesa ($1,500,000) and Strawberry ($1,525,000) are central with highway access; Del Perro ($1,645,000) and the two Downtown Vinewood entries ($1,670,000 each) sit near the theatres; West Vinewood at $1,700,000 is the dearest and only worth it with an office nearby. Switching clubs keeps technicians, stages and the name but loses upgrades. What the club earns, $100 to $10,000 a day legally and far more through the warehouse, is worked through on our nightclub income page.
The agency page is the same decision at a higher price for The Contract. All four buildings share an interior. Little Seoul at $2,010,000 is the page's pick for being cheapest and central; Vespucci Canals at $2,145,000 is an acceptable alternative; Rockford Hills is $2,415,000; and Hawick at $2,830,000 is ruled out on price alone. There are no refunds, and without one you cannot take the update's missions.
A storyline: the Diamond Casino and Resort
The Diamond Casino page is a set of directions and a first step. The building is in East Vinewood, reached along Vinewood Park Drive to the junction with Fenwell Place by the Vinewood Bowl gate, or spotted directly behind the Vinewood Racetrack. Inside, the first membership unlocks the tables; buying a penthouse of any level and visiting it triggers the cutscene that introduces the casino's staff, and five to fifteen minutes later a call sends you back for Loose Cheng, the first casino mission. The costs of that membership and penthouse, $500 and $1.5 million, and the chip system behind the doors are on our casino VIP and chips pages; the vault upstairs is the Diamond Casino heist.
