Ark Scorched Earth Silk Locations

Silk is an important resource in Ark Scorched Earth used to create many important items, including the desert cloth armor and tents for protection in the desert biome.

You can get silk by picking purple and white flowers or killing Lymantria. The flowers can be found around the map and harvested by hands, sickle, whip, and Therizinosaur. Remember, you won’t yield much if you harvest the flower by hand. As for Lymantria, use a hatchet to harvest silk from its body.

Unlike previous Ark expansions, Silk is commonly found in Ark Scorched Earth. This guide lists down the best locations for farming the flowers for silk and some common spawning locations of Lymantria in the game.

Purple Flowers Location #1

For the first batch of purple flowers, head to the Southern West Dunes at 82.4 Latitude and 39.6 Longitude.

The next location of purple flower is near the Red Obelisk on the Southern West Mountains at 66.4 Latitude and 39.8 Longitude.

Lymantria Spawn Location in Ark Scorched Earth

Killing and harvesting Lymantria is another way of getting silk. This moth-like creature can be found in the mountain area in the Scorched Earth map. The map image below shows all the locations this creature can spawn in.

Silk Spawn Command

You must enter the spawn command to spawn silk automatically into your inventory without finding it. For this, take the following steps:

  1. Open the cheat console on your system. To do this, press either of the following keys:
  • Press TAB on your keyboard.
  • Press and hold L1, R1, Square, and Triangle on PlayStation.
  • Press and hold LB, RB, X, and Y on Xbox.
  1. After the console opens, enter “cheat gfi Silk 1 1 0” and hit enter.
