Ark Lost Island Oil Vein Locations

Oil is an important resource used in crafting cryopods, fabricators, propellants, and other important resources in Ark Lost Island. You will find oil veins in the desert biome and once you do find the veins, place an oil pump on it to extract 1 unit of oil every 20 seconds.

The oil pump can be unlocked from the inventory for 25 Crystals, 25 Electronics, and 75 Metal Ingots. An alternate way of getting oil is by capturing Oil Jug Bugs and harvesting oil from them.

With this said, this guide contains some of the best oil vein locations in Ark Lost Island. While installing the oil pump remember that these gradually lose their ability to produce oil, so they must be changed.

The first location is in the desert biome on the bottom portion of the map at 92.8 Latitude and 32.8 Longitude. You will find two oil veins here.
