How to use Metal in Ark: Crystal Isles?

Smelting Metal Ore into Metal Ingots in a Forge in Ark Valguero

Metal must first be refined into ingots before being used in crafting recipes. This is done in a Forge, where two pieces of Metal Ore are smelted into one piece of Metal Ingot. The duration of the process depends on the method used.

Refining Forges, Magmasaurs, Phoenixes, and Industrial Forges are used to melt metal. It takes 20 seconds for a Refining Forge to make one Metal Ingot and one second for an Industrial Forge to make one Metal Ingot

Metal can be used to craft weapons like the Tripwire Alarm Trap and Metal Hatchet, secondly, it can be used to build your base as metal is required to build metal walls and foundations. Additionally, it can also be used to craft saddles and equipment along with these items:

Metal Spawn Command in Ark: Survival Ascended

If you’re having trouble finding Metal in Ark: Survival Ascended, you can use spawn commands to have this item spawn in your inventory. To do this, you must open the cheat console by pressing the TAB key on your keyboard.

If you’re playing on PlayStation, you’ll need to hold down L1, R1, Square, and Triangle at once, and similarly, on Xbox, hold down, LB, RB, X, and Y at once. Once the console opens, simply type in: “cheat giveitemnum 9 1 0 0” and hit enter to add this resource directly to your inventory.
