Ark Valguero Chitin Locations

Chitin is one of the most important resources in Ark Valguero. It is extracted from the exoskeleton of insects and other arthropods. Additionally, it can be found in the intestinal lining, salivary glands, mouth tissues, and muscle attachment points of insects.

Chitin can be farmed at three spots in Ark Valguero, including the Wyvern Trench and killing Karkinos and Broodmother. This guide contains all the chitin farming methods in the Valguero map.

Wyvern Trench

The first location is the Wyvern Trench in the Snow Biome region. Start from 9.2 Latitude and 69.9 Longitude and move west, killing all the bugs you find using Megatherium.

This cave is hot, so we recommend taking in a canteen if you plan to stay there for a long time.

Hunting Karkinos

An alternate method of farming chitin is by killing Karkinos. Karkinos can be found in the aberration cave near river areas in the Boreal Forest region. The map image above shows the expected spawn location of this creature in Ark Valguero.

Defeating Broodmother

Broodmother spawns in the Spider Cave at 75.3 Latitude and 43.1 Longitude in the Redwoods biome. Kill the boss and all the creatures there to farm tons of chitin in Ark Valguero.

Chitin Spawn Command

If you’re finding it hard to locate Chitin on Ark Valguero, open up the console command box by pressing TAB on your keyboard, but if you’re playing on PlayStation, you’ll need to hold down L1, R1, Square, and Triangle at once, and similarly, on Xbox, hold down, LB, RB, X, and Y at once. After the console opens, type “cheat gfi PrimalItemResource_Chitin 1 1 0” and press enter.
