Where to Find Zelda: Breath of the Wild Champions Ballad Ancient Bridle and Saddle
The ancient horse armor is actually quite spectacular in Champions Ballad DLC. Your horse can spring for longer distances, and appear for you from wherever you want on the map, so you will not lose your horse.
The advantages are limitless so let’s see where you can find this gear.
To begin your quest and start looking for Ancient Horse Gear, go to Highland Stable and find a book in there which has the rumored locations of the gear.
This armor can allow you to call your horse from wherever you want and increase the number of times you can spur your horse.
A rough location of these is: –
- The Ancient Bridle is south of Hyrule Ridge, beneath a cherry blossom tree at a mountain where creatures gather.
- The Ancient Saddle is at a mysterious spring where a horse spirit resides
Ancient Saddle allows you to call your horse from where you want. Go to Faron in Malanya Spring and go south of the Highland Stable. Then go on the road to the lake of the Horse God and cross the bridge. This place is known as Horse Fairy’s Location. Go behind the giant flower bud and use Magnesis Rune to get a chest from the earth which has the Ancient Saddle.
Ancient Bridle increases the number of times you can spur. Find it at Ridgeland in the Satori Mountain. Climb the mountain and find a small pond which has a pink tree near the peak of the mountain. Look for the chest near the base of the pink tree by using Magnesis.
Using Ancient Horse Gear
To equip the Ancient Bridle and Ancient Saddle you must speak to a stablehand located at various stables, like Phanna at the Highland Stable.
If the horse has a maximum bond rating, you can swap out their bridle and saddle.
Note that due to their unique natures, you cannot swap out gear with Epona or the Giant Horse, although the Royal White Stallion can be customized, giving it 7 spurs.
