Mechanics
Watch Dogs Legion asks you for exactly one decision that our pages think is worth a guide, and it scatters thirteen things around London that ask for nothing except that you notice them. The two pages here cover both: Skye Larsen's fate at the end of Into the Void, and the secrets and Easter eggs that reference two earlier Watch Dogs games, Assassin's Creed, Mirror's Edge, a football club and a VR title. The useful way to sort them is by trigger. Some are pushed in front of you by a named story mission, so you will see them whether you want to or not; the rest are sitting in the city waiting for someone to walk past.
What the story mission hands you
Six of the fourteen entries are tied to a mission objective. Five are references you can glance at and move on; the sixth is the choice, and it is the only one with consequences.
| Mission | What is in front of you | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Gap in the Armour | The first Assassin's Creed nod | On the rooftop, at the ctOS terminal you use to defuse Hamish's booby traps |
| Investigate EPAF, Kennington Park | An Arsenal reference | Beside the saxophone player |
| Investigate EPAF, Kennington Park | A conversation about being an eagle in VR, pointing at the game Eagle Flight | In the same park, per our page, two people at a board game who start talking about how VR was supposed to be the future |
| Coming Home | A binary message that decodes to a thank-you from Jared for digging | The data pads of the test subjects in Skye Larsen's lab |
| Into the Void | Kill or Upload Skye Larsen | Two computers: the right one ends her life, the left one uploads her |
| Escape through the catacombs | A Queen Victoria statue whose eyes follow you while a woman's voice comes through the walls | The dark hallway on the way out |
The choice, and what it actually changes
Into the Void ends with Skye Larsen kept alive by two machines, and the whole decision is which one you touch. Our page is unusually honest about the stakes: the person whose opinion moves is Nowt, and the long-term outcome barely does. Killing Skye through the right-hand computer delights Nowt, leads into a conversation about the AI Skye built, and has Nowt turning up at the DedSec safehouse later with extra side story quests. Uploading her through the left-hand computer leaves Nowt disappointed enough to hang up on you, but she calls back about the 404 Hub files that same AI created, and the page expects her to keep offering side missions regardless. Either way the two of you end up discussing the AI and, most likely, working on it. Pick the ending you can live with rather than the one you think unlocks more, because the page's conclusion is that both roads converge.
What you have to go and find
The other eight secrets are not attached to any objective. Most are inside places you will pass through anyway, and one of them is a person rather than a place.
| Where | What it is | What it points back to |
|---|---|---|
| Quanta bank | Abstergo Industry on the share-price display | Assassin's Creed |
| Anyone on the street | A recruitable professional hitman, Sandra Cassidy, whose profile has her hunting the descendants of Jacob Frye | Assassin's Creed Syndicate |
| Tower of London, on the roof | A single red shoe left at the edge | Faith from Mirror's Edge |
| The safe house | A police box, and a podcast clip that name-checks the first two games | Watch Dogs and Watch Dogs 2 |
| No spot named on our page | A poster for the sequel to Cyber Driver, with Jimmy Siska in the lead again | Watch Dogs 2 |
| The roads | Driveable cars that echo the Driver San Francisco missions | Watch Dogs 2 |
| DedSec HQ | Clara's T-shirt, on sale | Watch Dogs |
| Roberts and Scott Hall | A ctOS terminal that opens an underground DJ party, with a Keep the Party Alive poster for DJ JB Markowicz | Watch Dogs, and one of the hardest of the 38 masks |
The Roberts and Scott Hall entry is the one that pays. Our secrets page mentions it because the room behind the terminal holds one of the masks the game asks you to collect, which our masks page files under the City of London and our collectibles guide treats as the hard one, so a secret and a collectible are the same trip. The Sandra Cassidy entry is worth a scan too: she is a hitman by profession, and hitmen are one of the archetypes our best recruits guide rates highly for anyone who prefers to walk in loud.
Reading the count
Our secrets page says thirteen, and the two tables above account for all of them once the police box and the podcast are taken as a single find, as the page presents them. Add the Skye Larsen decision and you have the fourteen rows here. Where these missions fall in the wider game, and what to do before you reach Into the Void, is on our Watch Dogs Legion guide.
