Items

Our three Saints Row 4 item pages list 82 vehicles, 22 weapons and 12 outfits, and read separately they look like three unrelated catalogues. Read together they share one index: the homie whose side quest hands the thing over. Sixteen of the vehicles, five of the weapons and six of the outfits arrive that way, often two or three from a single quest, so this guide starts with the crew and works outward to what cache buys, what the enemy drops, and what only a pre-order code ever gave.

The Homie Ledger

Each homie's loyalty line pays out in kind. Asha's quests are heavy on vehicles, Kinzie's mix a weapon with a ride, Keith's give a power alongside his Zin craft, and the crew quests everyone shares in put the Black Hole Launcher in your hands and then upgrade it twice. The weapons page also records the gun each homie brings when you phone them in, which is the last column.

Two quirks in the ledger are worth knowing before you chase a reward. The outfits page names Keith's suit quest without the final letter, The Simulation Recognize, while the vehicles page writes Simulation Recognizes; they are the same job, and it pays a suit and two vans. And the Energy Sword is the one weapon our page lists with nothing to buy for it: it already removes vehicles in a few hits and enemies from the simulation entirely, so its single upgrade arrives from later Asha quests rather than from a store.

What Cache Buys

Friendly Fire sells twelve of the twenty-two weapons outright, and the weapons page prices them in four bands. The starter band is almost free; the price is in the rungs. Each purchased gun has between one and four upgrade lines of five rungs, and most carry a unique upgrade on top that changes what the gun does rather than how well.

CacheWeapons at that priceRung prices per line
100Baseball Bat, Heavy Pistol, Quickshot Pistol, Heavy SMG, Rapid Fire SMG, Shotgun100, then 6,250 / 7,500 / 8,750 / 10,000
20,000Stun Gun, Rifle, Burst Rifle (or take one from an elite cop)5,000 / 6,250 / 7,500 / 8,750 / 10,000
35,000Thumpgun, RPG7,000 / 8,750 / 10,500 / 12,250 / 14,000
50,000Alien RPG (or wait for a grunt to drop one)10,000 / 12,500 / 15,000 / 17,500 / 20,000

The unique upgrades sit in bands of their own: the Stun Gun's High Voltage is 2,000 and turns a non-lethal tool lethal, eight more cost 20,000 (explosive, armour-piercing, acidic and electrified ammo, Super Knockback, Full Auto, Tough Guy, Let the Good Times Roll), eight cost 35,000 (Car Crusher, Cool Kills, Too Hot to Handle, Respect My Authority, Vampiric Ammo, Penetrating Shots, Double Play, Guided Missiles), and the Alien RPG's Backblast is 50,000. Two achievements hang on this shop: one for maxing out any single gun, one for customising every gun on the radial. Cosmetic skins are listed under every weapon with no price attached.

Vehicles are cheaper to finish. Torque, Tires, Reinforced Bumper and Reinforced Frame each run 200, 400, 800 and 1,600 cache across four rungs, Nitrous and Kneecappers are a flat 200 apiece, so a fully modded car is 12,400 cache, a little more than a rifle's top rung. Store outfits are the third purchase: the Puckish Rogue set at Nobody Loves Me in Ashwood dresses you as Han Solo, the Ransom Collector set at the Let's Pretend in New Baranec as Jango Fett, and any Let's Pretend hat rack sells the Block Head for as little as $75.

What The Enemy Drops And The Story Gives

Four guns come off alien grunts: the Alien Pistol, Alien SMG and Alien Rifle only that way, and the Alien RPG as a drop for anyone unwilling to pay 50,000. All four share the alien rule that swaps reloading for overheating, and their unique upgrades play with that heat: Cool Kills vents it on a kill, Too Hot to Handle makes damage climb with it. Elite cops carry the Burst Rifle. The Disintegrator and Bounce Rifle are not found or bought at all; the story hands them over as it goes.

Vehicles work the reverse way. Anything a civilian is driving can be taken, and the 66 that are not quest variants are the ones you take off the street or out of the sky, spread across nineteen classes from compacts to the F-69 VTOL. The vehicles page says press Down on the D-pad to store a ride, then call it back from the phone's Pause Hub, a garage or a Gateway Hub, and that only a one-handed weapon can be fired from the driver's seat. Zin aircraft switch flight modes on a single button and offer basic and advanced control schemes; the page suggests trying both.

What Only A Pre-Order Gave

Three of the twelve outfits were never earned in the simulation. The Iron Rogue came as a free costume for pre-orders at selected retailers, the Uncle Sam Uniform with the Commander in Chief Edition, and Queen Amazonia with the pre-order costume DLC. Our page ends by asking readers where the Toilet Seat and Blowup Doll are found, so treat the list of twelve as what we confirmed, not the game's whole wardrobe.

Where The Ledger Points Next

The homie quests that fill this table also pay out in the mechanics guide, where Keith's Executive Orders and Kinzie's Power Play are the two power rungs no Rank can buy. Cache for the shop comes from the stores that guide covers, and the Saints Row 4 guide sets the two currencies side by side.
