Items
Fire Emblem Warriors hands out four kinds of item our pages track, and the useful way to tell them apart is not where they sit on the map but what the battle has to look like when it ends. The five Gleamstones need no battle at all. A Story Master Seal needs the chapter cleared, a History one needs an S rank. An Anna's Memento needs a thousand KOs and then one more thing. A material needs a named enemy of a stated level to go down, and its rare twin needs that to happen more than once. This guide runs up that ladder from the item that costs nothing to the one that costs a level 110 fight.
Nothing To Fight: The Five Gleamstones
The stones that bring each hero's Shield of Flames to full power are the one collectible here you pick up from a menu. Our page sends you to the home screen, into Heroes, and onto the character's card, where the stone is waiting. Five characters carry one, each a different colour.
| Hero | Stone |
|---|---|
| Chrom | Blue |
| Ryoma | Red |
| Xander | Purple |
| Corrin | White |
| Marth | The page's entry reads "God stone", a typo it does not resolve |
Clear The Chapter: Six Story Seals
Master Seals make Surge Crests, and a Surge Crest promotes a unit from its base class to its advanced one. The page counts 23 in the base game, one per playable character, split 6 in Story, 9 in the History maps you can reach before the credits and 8 in the ones that open after, so fifteen units can be promoted before the campaign ends. Story chapters that hold a seal show a white icon on Scenario Select. Four arrive for finishing the chapter, and two sit in chests whose key is carried by an enemy you have to find first.
| Chapter | How the fight ends |
|---|---|
| 5, The Dragon's Table | Validar and Robin both eliminated; the seal is on the loot screen |
| 8, High Prince Ryoma | Meet Ryoma, take forts until a new enemy is announced, kill him for the chest key |
| 11, Crown Prince Xander | Find the key carrier on the mini-map, beat him, open the chest |
| 13, What Happened to Corrin | Iago defeated |
| 15, Taking the World Tree | Gharnef defeated |
| 18, Chaos Dragon's Might | Darios defeated |
Earn The S Rank: Seventeen History Seals And Nine From DLC
Every seal outside Story has the same condition: finish every objective on the battle and post an S rank. The page lists them map by map, and the three DLC packs add three seals each on the same terms.
| History map | Seals | Battles |
|---|---|---|
| Invisible Ties | 3 | Ally Rescue (Validar 14), Fort Siege (Frederick 20), Invisible Ties (Robin 25) |
| The Path Is Yours | 3 | Fort Defense (Myrmidon 22), Embrace the Dark (Xander 36), In the White Light (Ryoma 36) |
| The Dark Pontifex | 3 | Pincer Escape at Myrmidon 15, Myrmidon 17 and Gharnef 24 |
| Noble Lady of Caelin | 4 | Pincer Escape (Pegasus Knight 22), Shadow Elimination (Myrmidon 26), Ally Rescue (Myrmidon 22), Fort Siege (Pegasus Knight 26) |
| Together to the End | 4 | Rendezvous Disruption at Myrmidon 35 and 42, Fort Siege (Myrmidon 34), Targeted Elimination (Archer 42) |
| Fates DLC | 3 | Grief: Recruitment Battle (Soldier 21). Land of Gods: Fort Siege (Myrmidon 23). Cold Reception: Gold Rush (Mage 19) |
| Shadow Dragon DLC | 3 | A Brush in the Teeth: Pincer Escape (Cavalier 20). Princess Minerva: Shadow Rush (Mage 22). Knorda Market: Villager Rescue (Owain 21) |
| Awakening DLC | 3 | Scion of Legend: Escape (Archer 24). Emmeryn: Fort Siege (Archer 25). Caravan Dancer: Pincer Escape (Soldier 21) |
Spend them the moment a unit hits level 15, the page says, because promotion here has no hidden cost: level-ups are fixed rather than rolled, so nothing is lost by promoting early, and using a seal does not itself level anyone. Who gets the first fifteen is the real question, and the page scores all 23 characters out of ten. The chosen twin is the only 10, Robin and one of Takumi or Sakura score 9, Leo 8.5, Lissa, Ryoma and Camilla 8, Xander 7.5, and Chrom or Lucina, Frederick, Hinoka and Marth 7. At the bottom sit Anna at 0.5 and Lyn and Celica at 0, for the same reason: by the time the three secret characters join, almost every seal is already in hand.
A Thousand KOs, Then One More Thing: Anna's Mementos
Mementos are pieces of five illustrations, and finishing one opens a hard battle that adds Anna to the roster. Every memento battle our page lists starts the same way, with 1,000 enemies down, and then asks for something else. In Story the second condition is bespoke to the chapter: reach Frederick inside five minutes, keep Robin and Cordelia above 20 percent, seize every fort before the Arena gate falls, bring Velezark under half health. In History it is one of three: 1,200 more KOs, five enemy forts, or 75 KOs with Dual Specials.
| History map | Battles listed | 1,200 more KOs | Five forts | 75 Dual Special KOs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Invisible Ties | 5 | 3 | 1 | 1 |
| The Path Is Yours | 3 | 1 | 2 | 0 |
| The Dark Pontifex | 3 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Noble Lady of Caelin | 9 | 4 | 2 | 3 |
| Together to the End | 10 | 3 | 4 | 3 |
Story chapters carry two mementos each from Chapter 2 onward, and the second is locked until the campaign is finished and the chapter replayed on Hard or Lunatic. Most chapters also want Rowan or Lianna on the field, two early ones ask for Lianna and Chrom together when Rowan is not available, and a few, Hoshidan Prince, High Prince Ryoma and Nohrian Princess among them, require nobody in particular. The Invisible Ties pieces belong to the Warriors Against Fate illustration, which is the one that pays out Anna.
A Named Enemy At A Stated Level: 106 Materials
Materials come in Bronze, Silver and Gold, and the fight is not the only source: two units reaching support rank C produce a Silver material, and rank B a Gold one. But the page's 106 entries are all drops, 56 common and 50 rare, and every entry names the enemy, the level and the battle. Thirteen enemy classes each drop a common and a rare piece, the five Captain's weapons come off generals of each weapon type in Hero Challenges, and the Monster alone gives three. The other 74 belong to 37 characters, a common and a rare each.
The busiest single source for character pieces is Chapter 20, where 19 of them drop at least one and 18 drop both (Rowan, Lianna, Chrom, Lucina, Lissa, Frederick, Cordelia, Owain, Hinoka, Sakura, Oboro, Camilla, Leo, Elise, Celica, Azura, Tharja, Olivia and Takumi's common piece; his rare one waits at level 65 in Cold Reception). The rest are tied to a named battle, and the level column is the effort ladder made explicit.
| Level | Battle and map | Whose materials |
|---|---|---|
| 110 | Warriors of Conviction, A Brush in the Teeth | Xander, Navarre, Minerva |
| 90 | A Burdened Heart, Grief | Corrin |
| 85 | Knorda Market | Validar |
| 80 | Warriors Against Fate, Invisible Ties; Flight of the Hero-King, The Dark Pontifex | Robin; Gharnef |
| 64 | Rendezvous Disruption, Together to the End | Caeda |
| 62 | Pincer Escape, The Dark Pontifex | Ryoma |
| 60 | Fort Defense, Noble Lady of Caelin | Lyn |
| 54 | Together to the End | Darios |
| 45 / 54 | Noble Lady of Caelin | Velezark (the page gives 45 for the common piece and 54 for the rare) |
| 41 | Ally Rescue, Noble Lady of Caelin | Tiki |
| 38 | Pincer Escape, Princess Minerva | Niles, Anna, Linde |
| 33 | Targeted Elimination, Hero Challenges | Marth |
| 31 | Fort Defense, Hero Challenges | Iago |
Class materials are cheaper still, all between level 10 and 37 in Hero Challenges or on the first two History maps, with two outliers: the Thief for the Outlaw pieces is level 52 in Scion of Legend, and the Wyvern Rider drops in Chapter 9, Nohrian Princess, on Lunatic for the common piece. Nearly every rare entry repeats its common entry's battle, so the rare roll usually changes how often you fight rather than where; Takumi and the Great Knight are the two whose rare piece moves map.
Past The Ladder
The top of this ladder is where the roster's last three names live: the mementos pay out Anna, and History maps four and five hold Lyn and Celica, all covered in our secret characters guide. For how the credits split everything above into a first run and a second, start with the Fire Emblem Warriors guide.
FAQ
Are there enough Master Seals for every character?
Yes. The base game has 23 for 23 playable characters, and the three DLC packs add nine more. Only fifteen are reachable before the credits, so the page's priority scores decide the order.
When should you use a Master Seal in Fire Emblem Warriors?
At level 15, as soon as promotion unlocks. Level-ups are fixed, so promoting early forfeits nothing.
How many Anna's Mementos unlock Anna?
Twenty pieces of the Warriors Against Fate illustration: ten from Story chapters and ten from the five Invisible Ties battles, followed by a level 80 fight.
