Conan Exiles Isle Of Siptah Thralls: How Surges Bring Them To You

Getting a thrall on the Isle of Siptah is a different job from getting one in the Exiled Lands, and players who bring their mainland habits with them tend to spend a long afternoon finding nothing. You are not looking for a settlement to raid. You are waiting for, or paying for, an event that drops a crowd of potential thralls on top of you.

Both routes are surges

Siptah's thralls arrive through surges, of which there are two kinds. Either one gives you bodies to knock down, so there is no wrong choice here, only a question of whether you would rather schedule the event yourself or take one when it appears.

Both show up on the map the same way: a blue icon with two lightning bolts side by side. If you see that marker, there are thralls underneath it.

The normal surge, at one of two temples

This is the one you control. Two temples on the island are easy enough to reach and both will host the event: one sits in the G10 tile toward the bottom left of the map, the other in the I8 tile toward the bottom right. Go inside and find the altar.

The cost is fifty decaying eldarium, and that is the real gate rather than the walk. Eldarium comes out of the island's dungeons, which means the price of a thrall on Siptah is a dungeon run first. Our sigil dungeons walkthrough covers all fourteen, the Den of the Wolfmen and the Harbor of the Drowned included, and reading the entry before you go in is the difference between a supply of eldarium and a corpse run.

With the fifty in hand, use the altar and thralls will appear around you. From there it is a normal capture.

The wild surge, which chooses you

The other kind is not scheduled and not paid for. A wild surge tears a portal open in the sky, tentacles and all, and it can happen anywhere on the island. Travel to the marker and a group of thralls spawns around the site.

For most players this is the easier option precisely because it costs nothing. If you are not in a hurry and you are playing regularly, taking wild surges as they come will keep you supplied without a single dungeon run. Build somewhere central enough to reach them and the island does the work; our Isle of Siptah base locations page covers where to settle.

After that, nothing is different

Once a thrall is in front of you the Siptah part is over. Knock it out, bind it, drag it back and put it on the wheel with food in it, exactly as on the mainland. Our thrall capturing guide covers the truncheon, the white marker that tells you an NPC is down rather than dead, and which job each type of thrall does once it is working for you.

What the island does not give you is the mainland's map of settlements to work through, so if you are chasing tier four crafters specifically, the Exiled Lands remain the better hunting ground. Our named thralls page covers those routes, and the Conan Exiles guide ties both halves of the game together.
