Is Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer any good in BG3?

As there are so many, you can easily lose count of them. As such, we have compiled a list of the best spells we found that are a must-have for your build. The rest are up to you, but your arsenal should have these at all costs.

1	Chromatic Orb	Deals 3-24 thunder damage and possibly creates a surface upon hitting the enemies.
2	Mirror Image	Create 3 copies of yourself to distract the enemies. Each duplicate increases your AC by 3 up to a maximum of 9.
3	Fireball, Haste, Lightning Bolt, Slow	Fireball deals 8-48 fire damage and implodes upon impact. Haste increases your speed. The Lightning Bolt deals 8-48 lightning damage to all the enemies in a line. The Slow spell makes enemies move at a crawl speed.
4	Blight, Ice Storm, Wall of Fire	Blight inflicts 8-64 necrotic damage, especially to plants. Ice storm summons hail, which deals 6-40 ice damage to all enemies in range. Wall of Fire summons a wall of inferno that deals 5-40 fire damage to close-by enemies.
5	Telekinesis	Allows you to pick up any object within an 18m range and throw it at enemies.
6	Disintegrate	Deals 50-100 force damage and turns enemies into ash upon death.

Best Armor and Weapons

The Sorcerer Class has no armor proficiencies and is only good with Daggers, Quarterstaves, and Crossbows. So, the options are limited. As such, we recommend you equip your Draconic Bloodline build in Baldur’s Gate with the following options.

The Sorcerer Class cannot have any armor due to the lack of proficiencies. However, you can equip the following items that do not require any proficiency.

Helm: Circlet of Blasting. This rare helm allows you to cast the Scorching Ray spell.

Chest: Robe of Exquisite Focus. This rare 10AC clothing grants you a +1 bonus for saving throws against spells.

Gloves: Hr’a’cknir Bracers. These very rare gloves allow you to cast mage hand as a bonus action in addition to Telekinesis. You also get a +1 bonus for strength-saving throws.

Boots: Boots of Very Fast Blinking. You can now cast the Misty Step spell with these boots equipped.

Cape: Cindermoth Cloak. Puts a creature on fire who tries to hurt you within a 2m radius.

Necklace: Ilmater’s Aid. Spells now deal an additional 1-4 force damage once your HP drops to half or lower.

Ring 1: Hag’s Ring. Allows you to cast vicious Mockery cantrip.

Ring 2: The Sparkswall. Protects you from getting electrocuted.

Main Hand weapon: Creation’s Echo. This quarterstaff will provide you with resistance from acid, fire, lightning, radiation, and necrotic damage if you deal damage associated with any of the listed.
