Like many other items in Granblue Fantasy Relink, you will also need “Griffin Feathers” to upgrade weapons. Moreover, Blacksmith also requires you to find this item when crafting upgrades of other essential items, like Sigils.
Being uncommon items, you can’t get Griffin Feathers from the start of the game; you need to progress till at least Chapter 6 which is when you get the first opportunity to find some Griffin Feathers in GBF Relink.
How do you get Griffin Feather in Granblue Fantasy Relink?
As evident by the name, you will get the Griffin Feathers in Granblue Fantasy Relink by defeating a Griffin. However, encounters with this flying beast will not happen often. Your first encounter with a Griffin will happen during a quest called “Only You Can Prevent Forest Flyers.”
This quest is available from the Quest Counter, but only after you reach Chapter 6 and travel to Seedhollow. This will also unlock Fast Travel, which you can use to head to the Quest Counter in Folca and accept this quest.
There is no point in trying to get this quest before chapter 6, as you can’t. Once you get the quest, you will need to take out the Griffin and get the Feather as a reward in Granblue Fantasy Relink.
To defeat the Griffin in Granblue Fantasy Relink and get some Griffin Feathers, you will need to exploit its weakness, which is the element of fire. There is no need to bring characters strong in the element of wind, as they will not help you defeat this boss. The Griffin boss spends most of the time in the air, so bringing in characters like Rackam with powerful ranged attacks is a must.
A character good in melee combat will not serve you, especially in the early stages of the battle. In the second half of the boss fight, you will also need some strong melee attacks. To take out Griffin in GBF Relink, you will need a party that can dominate both range and melee encounters. Rosetta is another good option.
The other two characters can be of your choice, but ensure you keep Griffin’s strengths and weaknesses in mind while choosing. Once you take out the Griffin and complete the quest, you will get the Griffin Feather as a first clear reward and also for completing a Side Goal.
While repeating this quest, ensure you complete all the side goals if you want this item, as simply completing the quest will not help. Completing side goals will also help you get an S++ rating in Granblue Fantasy Relink, which guarantees better rewards, so never miss them.
You will also unlock a quest after unlocking the “Veteran Skyfarer” grade. This quest is called “Drumsticks Au Griffin,” and the Grffin you will face in it is much stronger than the previous one.
This one can grant some other important and rare items as well, along with the Griffin Feathers in Granblue Fantasy Relink. Besides these two main quests, you can also complete the following quests to get the feathers:
- Bug Hunt
- Cooling Bones
- The Gourmet Way
- Red-Hot Seller
These quests have certain requirements, which you can easily complete once you reach the Veteran Skyfarer grade and then complete some quests to collect items.
