Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Pets Training – How to Train Pets
You can train your pet and teach them many new commands by using the interaction menu. Choose Training in the menu and then select the skill you want them to learn.
They will need some time to learn and you will have to be patient with them. Once your pet has learned a skill, you can just choose it from the Trained Commands menu and choose the action that you want your pet to perform.
There are a number of different skills that you can teach your pet. They include Fetch, Heel, Lay Dead, Sit, Lie Down, Roll Over, Speak, Shake and Attack. Once your pet has learned all of these skills, you can simply choose the skill you want them to perform anytime and your pet will perform it.
These are mostly playful skills and they do not modify their behavior. There are also a specific set of skills that you can use to alter their behavior so they do not repeat that behavior again.
These skills can be thought to the pet right after they perform the undesired act. Click on them, choose the command ‘Lecture About’, and click on it. You will need to repeat the process over two or three times before they learn about it.
You can change the habits of your pets such as Pee Outside, Don’t Bark at Sims, Don’t Wake Up and Don’t Attack. These behavioral changes can be modified through constant repetition. It is vital that you train your pet otherwise; they will not act in the desired way in certain situations.
