Assassin’s Creed 3 – How To Make Money Fast

Find out how to make money fast in Assassin's Creed 3.

One of the key factors that can determine your ease of progression in Assassin’s Creed 3 is money itself. As an assassin, it’s important for Connor to have some ample cash to fulfill his daily requirements of weapons, consumables, and ship peripherals.

Thus, it’s important to have a constantly inflow of cash through the game. Thankfully, there’s more than just one good way of earning money regularly, and we’ve compiled a set of tips that should help you considerably wealthy.

The Homestead is the Key to Success:
One of the best and most consistent ways of earning money in Assassin’s Creed 3 is through your Davenport Homestead. If you are wise enough to take a break from the storyline and attempt to gather some artisans (and level them up), you can get some high quality crafting materials, and also start your own convoy system.

You can read all about the Homestead and its importance in our Homestead Guide.

Citizen Missions:
If you feel you have extra time on your hands, you might want to deliver some courier for some citizen needing a hand, or perhaps assassinating someone for some other fellow.

It’s a relatively more immediate process than developing your Homestead, but it can get a little monotonous as a primary cash-earning method.

Being a Moron:
Sometimes you can be a moron and decide to do things the less appreciated way. Since you’re just so good at stealth, you might as well use your pick-pocketing ability to bring you some coins and vitals no?

Alternatively, perhaps you’d like to be a little more upfront and attack some convoys. These things will obviously raise the alert level of everyone in the city, but hey, it’s not like it’s impossible for an assassin to disappear.

Treasure Chests:
Treasure chests can contain some good direct or indirect cash, provided you have the stamina to find them and find their keys. Of course, you could just lock-pick them, but chests aren’t the most convenient way of consistent profit, and should only be viewed as bonus stuff.

Animal Products:
Another good way to earn some cash is to hunt. Undamaged animal skin has a lot of value in the American Revolution market, and that’s why it can be helpful to get some spiked income by doing some hunting.

You can read all about hunting techniques and tips in our Hunting Guide.

Some of the big animals will respawn, so you can get back there multiple times and collect their pelts, claws, and grease every time. These goods will earn you a hefty profit and can pile up cash for you at a faster rate.

Send Convoys:
You can also load up convoys with different items you have crafted or gathered during your adventure and send them for trade. It’s a risky task as there are chances that someone will attack the group and try to loot it. If that’s the case, you should defend them either by yourself or you can make use of your fellow assassin’s.
