Skyrim Dragonborn Dragon Aspect Shout Word Locations Guide

This guide will show you how to get all three words for Dragon Aspect Shout in Skyrim Dragonborn. Read to learn more.

Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC adds many new places to explore, enemies to kill and Shouts to learn. The Dragon Aspect Shout, in particular, is worth taking a look at as it allows the Dragonborn to take on true aspects of dragons and their powers when it’s active with all three words.

The Dragon Aspect Shout envelops the player in a set of dragon armor for a short time and temporarily increases the effectiveness of all other shouts and weapon damage. The only caveat of this shout is that it can only be used once a day.

In this guide, we’ll go over the locations of all three Word Walls for the Dragon Aspect Shout in Skyrim. The three walls are; Strength, Wyrm, and Armor. All three of them are found within the DLC map; Solstheim.

Word Wall #1 – Strength

The first word wall of the shout is ‘Strength’. It is found in the Temple of Miraak, in the main quest line of the Dragonborn DLC in Skyrim (after completing the Dragonborn quest). As you enter the temple, follow Frea down a set of stairs and then turn left. The first word is located on the wall there.

The first word; Strength (Mul) increases your armor rating by +25 and increases the effectiveness of power attacks by +25%.

FYI

The item ID for Strength is xx01df93.

Word Wall #2 – Wyrm

The second Word Wall of the shout is ‘Wyrm’. This is found in the Raven Rock Mine. You need to find Crescius Caerellius in the mine. Talk to him, and follow the quest line till you come to “The Final Descent” and get the Bloodskal Blade.

Complete the puzzle to open the door by hitting each red line with an energy blast from the sword you obtain. Continue onwards into the mine till you encounter the Dragon Priest. The place there is filled with water, and on the other end of it is the Word Wall.

TIP

Finding all three words for Dragon Aspect unlocks the Dragon Aspect Achievement/Trophy.

The second word; Wyrm (Mul Qah) summons an ancient Dragonborn to assist you if you use this shout when below 50% health. Additionally, your armor rating increases to +100 and your fire and frost resistance increases by +25%.

FYI

The item ID for Wyrm is xx01df94.

Word Wall #3 – Armor

The final word of the shout is ‘Armor’. This item is found in the Apocrypha, which is accessible by obtaining the Black Book. You will acquire this item as you progress through the main storyline. Once you read the book, it will transport you to the Apocrypha to start the quest, Waking Dreams. Here, Hermaeus Mora will ask you to find four books to proceed further in Skyrim.

Search the area for the four books and place them on the pedestals with pictures matching their names. When the central structure glows green, go to it and observe the large book next to it. Interact with Chapter VI, and you will travel to another place with enemies. Defeat them, and you should be able to find the final Word Wall.

The third and final word, Armor (Mul Qah Diiv) reduces the shout recharge by 20%.

FYI

The item ID for Armor is xx01df95.

Dragon Aspect Shout mods

While the Dragon Aspect Shout is incredibly powerful, it can take quite a bit of effort to find all three words. Thankfully, this is easily remedied on PC by using console commands and item IDs. However, this Shout has another problem, and that is its limited usage. As we’ve discussed above, the Dragon Aspect Shout can only be used once per day.

To remedy this, you can make use of mods. The ‘No 1 day cooldown for Dragon Aspect’ mod on NexusMods removes the one-day limitation, increasing the cooldown time significantly. This way, you’ll be able to use Dragon Aspect however many times you want.
