Skyrim Legendary Items Locations Guide – Armor and Weapons

Most of the leveled up (legendary) items are obtained through quest rewards. The item’s level is dependent on the player’s level and the time on which the reward is given. Some items don’t improve if you’re a higher-level character or some items will have better physical, magical or enchanting abilities.

Skyrim Legendary Items Locations

Chillrend
The Chillrend is a glass sword which is in the Mercer Frey’s house (The Pursuit). You will find it in a display case, and it has an expert-level lock. The sword does frost damage with a chance of paralyze effects too. You will need a refined malachite and the Arcane Blacksmith perk for a Tempering Chillrend.

  • Enchantment: Frost Damage 30 points, Paralyze for 2 seconds with 30 points of frost damage

Dragonbane
The Dragonbane is a Katana which is located in the Sky Haven Temple. It is a lot better than the other Katanas, dealing extra damage to the dragons. Tempering Dragonbane needs one Quicksilver Ingot and the Arcane Blacksmith perk. The tempering will be doubled if you use the Steel smithing perk as well.

  • Enchantment: 40+damage to dragons, shock damage +10 extra

Gauldur Blackblade
You will find this Ancient Nord Sword at Folgunthur, Mikrul Gauldurson. Tempering the blade requires a Steel Ingot and the Arcane Blacksmith perk. The benefits are doubled if you have Dwarven Smithing Perk.

Gauldur Blackbow
The Gauldur Blackbow is an Ancient Nord Bow; you will find it at Geirmund’s Hall (Sigdis Gauldurson). Tempering requires one Steel Ingot and Arcane Blacksmith Perk. The benefits are doubled if you have a Dwarven Smithing perk too.

  • Tempering: Steel Ingot
  • Enchantment: Drains Magicka (30 points/sec)

Lunar Iron Mace
This special iron mace is forged, you might find it at the Silent Moons Camp too. The enchantment will cause Light Damage/sec. Iron Ingot and the Arcane Blacksmith perk are required for tempering.

Lunar Iron Sword
This Iron Sword is found at the Silent Moons Camp and can be forged too. The enchanting will cause Light Damage to the victims. You need one Iron Ingot and the Arcane Blacksmith Perk for the tempering.

  • Enchantment: Light Damage (20 points per second)

Lunar Iron War Axe
It is also forged and found at the Silent Moons Camp. The enchantment does Light Damage to the vitims and the tempering needs Iron Ingot and the Arcane Blacksmith perk.

Lunar Steel Mace
Occasionally found at the Silent Moons Camp and can be forged, the enchantment causes light damage to the victims. You need a Steel Ingot and the Arcane Blacksmith for tempering and a Steel Smithing perk for doubled effects.

Lunar Steel Sword

Lunar Steel War Axe
Occasionally found at the Silent Moons Camp and can be forged, the enchantment causes light damage to the victims. You need a Steel Ingot and the Arcane Blacksmith for tempering and a Steel Smithing perk for doubled effects.

  • Type: War Axe
  • Damage: 9
  • Speed: 0.9
  • Weight: 12
  • Reach: 1
  • Value: 188
  • Perk: Steel Smithing
  • Enchantment: 20 points for 1 second of light damage.

Nightingale Blade
Karliah will give you this during the “Hard Answers”. The enchantment will absorb the health and the stamina of the victim for a second.
