Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Shock Arrows

Among the elemental arrows available to Link on Breath of the Wild, Shock Arrows can prove great against enemies with a weakness to lightning.

Unfortunately, these arrows are also some of the harder ones to obtain and are even needed for quests.

During the Divine Beast of Vah Ruta quest, you’ll have to get 20 shock arrows, which are scattered around Ploymus Mountain. You will be coming across a very lethal Lynel there.

Where to Find Shock Arrows

One good place to find shock arrows is the Ploymus Mountain although a dangerous Lynel guards the area so players need to be careful.

In order to complete the Divine Beast of Vah Ruta quest, players will need 20 shock arrows so the Ploymus Mountain is the perfect place to look for those.

In order to get up the mountain and survive, players should equip themselves with the Zora armor.

About a dozen arrows will be scattered on the slopes of the mountain while the rest will be in the arena on top where players will be forced to fight the Lynel.

If players are early in the game, they won’t stand any chance against the monster.

If players are unable to defeat the Lynel, their best bet is to climb the mountain and then sneak around the arena.

Since the arrows are at the back and the Lynel is facing the other side, players can sneakily pick up the rest of the arrows. A potion that improves stealth can be handy here.

Alternatively, shock arrows can also be bought from vendors (these arrows can’t be used for the Divine Beast quest).

One of these vendors is in Gerudo City and players will need a special outfit before they can safely enter the city.

Once players are inside the city, they can simply go to the bazaar and buy the arrows from the merchant to the west side of the bazaar.

The arrows cost 140 rupees for a bundle of 10 but hopefully money won’t be an issue for players.
