That is where our RDR2 Blackjack Guide comes in to help you with playing the Blackjack. In addition to this, we have also outlined a few places where you can find Blackjack tables in the world.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Blackjack
Blackjack is among the many side activities that players can take part in. Like the rest of the optional activities, players have to buy their way in the game.
However, knowing how the game works and how to play it is important to ensure victory and earn money in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Blackjack Tables Locations
Blackjack tables are found throughout the game’s world such as in the town of Rhodes. You can also play Blackjack in your main camp but the game won’t always be available because the tables rotate among Dominoes, Poker, Blackjack, and others.
However, once you locate the Blackjack table in the game, it’s marked on your map for you to go back and play. Furthermore, the Blackjack tables that you find throughout the world are permanent and won’t rotate.
Rules
Knowing how the game works is half the battle and here we will explain the rules by which you have to play Blackjack in RDR2.
In order to win, you have to have the total value of the cards in your hand to be equal to 21 or close to 21. However, never go above 21 because that will cause you to automatically lose the game.
Cards like Jack, King, and Queen have a fixed value of 10. The Ace has value 1 or 11 depending on you while the value of numbered cards is their numbers themselves.
A combination of the cards equaling to 21 results in a Blackjack, or in other words, victory.
Tips to Win
The point of Blackjack is to beat the dealer. You receive two cards in the beginning and only you know the value of your cards.
You have to deal your hand against the dealer not the other players on the table. Every player will get a turn to choose one of the two options which are “Hit” and “Stand”.
“Hit” means taking a new card from the dealer; however, if the combined value of card exceeds 21 then you are “Bust”. This means that you lose your wager to the dealer and have to wait until the next game.
However, if the player decides he can choose to “Stand” or “Hold” if the player thinks that he/she has a better hand than the dealer does and don’t want to risk a bust.
If all the players and the dealer have chosen “Hold” or are “Busted” it’s time to reveal the cards. The player with the hand value closer to 21 or equal to 21 wins.
Blackjack requires some skill to play. Here are some things that you need to consider in order to win:
Players need to consider “Stand” if you the value of your hand is 17 or above. However, drawing the Ace and 6 exceptions.
Moreover, if the value of the cards in hand is between 12-16 and the dealer has a 6 or lower than the dealer has a better chance of “Busting” you.
Consider “Hit” if the value of your hand is lower than 12, an ACE, and a 6 or less. Also, consider “Hit” when your had value is 12-16 and the dealer has a 7 or above.
The reason for choosing “Hit” in this situation is that you might “Bust” but you cannot risk “Standing” lower than 17.
