NieR Automata Weapons Locations, Upgrade Materials, and How to Upgrade to Level 4

NieR Automata Weapons Locations Guide to help you find all types of weapons in the game, their upgrade requirements, and how to max upgrade them.

In NieR Automata, you can equip two sets of weapons simultaneously. Each weapon set comprises of two weapons and you’ve the complete liberty to swap your sets at any given time.

You can upgrade your weapons from the Weapons Vendor in the Resistance Camp. This unlocks the Weapon Story of the weapons which is basically the lore and background of weapons.

You can upgrade a weapon to maximum Level 4. The Weapons Vendors, however, can only upgrade a weapon to Level 3. In order to upgrade a weapon to Level 4, you need the services of Master Swordsmith Masamune.

NieR Automata Weapons Upgrade – How to Reach Level 4

As mentioned earlier, you can only upgrade your weapons to Level 4 from Masamune. In order to find this secret blacksmith, you need to head to the Forest Castle: Royal Chamber and proceed towards the broken bridge.

Drop down into the hole in the bridge and land on the walkway below. After dropping down, head left and interact with the wall and pull the block to find a hidden area. You should find the secret blacksmith in the area.

In addition to upgrading your weapons to Level 4, Masamune also sells quite a handful of weapons.
