NieR Automata DLC Teased By Producer Related To The Apologetic Machines

NieR Automata is an amazing game but not without mysteries of its own. One of the unsolved mysteries in NieR Automata is the presence of “Apologetic Machines” guarding some locked doors.

While some players have glitched their way through these gates and found unfinished areas but many speculate that these locked gates might open up for future NieR Automata DLC.

Now it seems that the DLC speculation for the game might be correct as producer Yosuke Saito has hinted that we might be seeing some DLC for NieR Automata. Speaking with Famitsu(via Dualshockers), Yosuke was asked about the Apologetic Machines, to which he responded:

D-L-C!! D-L-C!! D-L-C!!

However, given the over the top nature of the answer there is a chance that Yosuke is just joking but we might be treated with some news for the DLC with the live streamed event on April 17th.

Furthermore, given that NieR Automata surpassed one million copies sold there is a chance that Platinum Games would consider DLC for the game.

NieR Automata director has been quite vocal about his games and thoughts on other things in the gaming industry. Recently, game director, Yoko Taro, expressed his desire for a successor to PS Vita, saying that while Nintendo Switch will help the handheld market but he would like to see a smaller next-generation portable device.

I want a Vita successor. While I feel a bit relieved since the Switch appeared, I’d like a slightly smaller next-generation portable game machine. I’d like to satisfy the desire that cannot be satisfied by smartphones, that don’t have physical buttons.

Just last month a New PS Vita patent emerged on the internet which would suggest that Sony might already be considering a successor to PS Vita.

NieR Automata is an action RPG developed by Platinum Games for PC and PlayStation 4.
