Mafia 3 Pre Alpha Screenshots From GDC Presentation

Mafia 3 Pre Alpha screenshots from GDC show a very detailed world and glimpses of the World Interaction System of Mafia 3.

Mafia 3 was present during a recent GDC presentation held by Hangar 13. The developer showed us a pre-alpha build and below are some screenshots from this amazing game in the making.

The world of Mafia 3 is alive, vibrant, and keep on living with or without our lead Lincoln Clay.

Lincoln Clay is played by Hemlock Grove’s Alex Hernandez and he was recently spotted doing motion capture for Mafia 3. Lincoln won’t be an easy role to play but Hernandez is talented enough to do justice to Clay.

Clay was raised in a Catholic orphanage in New Orleans. The orphanage closed down when he was still young so he decided to join the army and fight in the Vietnam war. He came back to the States only to find out that many of his friends and childhood companions have been murdered by the Italian Mob.

Clay will take down the Italians in New Orleans to build his very own criminal empire.

Developers are treating New Orleans as a character of Mafia 3. They have put it place a very detailed world interaction system that triggers random events around Clay. Hangar 13 gave an example of this:

Cops who were harassing an interracial couple, that could have happened anywhere [else] in the world with a few exceptions. We can decide which districts that’ll happen in, the time of day and weather, and then it can randomly happen.

Head over here to know more about the World Interaction System of Mafia 3. The game will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. However, a final release date is yet to be confirmed.

Hangar 13 is confident that they won’t be releasing a buggy game, they will take their time to deliver a smooth, well-thought out experience to the players.
