The mystery is over! The man who will be playing Geralt of Rivia in the most anticipated The Witcher Netflix Series will be Henry Cavill. The news comes with an updated IMBD page, heartfelt messages and the confirmation that Cavill was the best man for this role.

We already knew that Henry Cavill was interested in playing Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher Netflix Series. What we didn’t know though is that he was cast for the role and since he was a fan of the games and books he fit the role perfectly.

Previously, Cavill has been known for his role as Superman, which has been his most iconic one. However, his excitement for the role is all he needs in order to bring Geralt to his first appearance in live-action.

The IMDB page of  The Witcher Netflix Series has been updated, showing Cavill as the only confirmed actor to have a role in the series. Additionally, the actor himself has posted a picture on Instagram confirming the news, followed by a heartfelt message from the series showrunner, Lauren S. Hissrich. She said:

He was my first meeting. I didn’t have writers or scripts yet – just a greenlight and a lot of passion. That was four months ago, and I’ve never forgotten the passion he brought. He IS Geralt. He always has been. I’m so thrilled to welcome HENRY CAVILL to the #Witcher family.
