We reported on a game breaking Fallout 4 bug that would ruin everything as soon as you neared the end of the game. However, that is not the only game breaking bug in there.
Some fans are complaining about a bug that crashes the game while you are trying too go to the Monsignor Plaza. You don’t get any error message and you don’t get the chance to go back. The game simply crashes to the PC desktop and you have to start it again.
Here’s an excerpt from the complaint on official Bethesda forums:
Been playing for around 10 hours now with no problems and now doing a Settlement quest where I have to go to Monsignor but everytime I go there it crashes straight to the desktop without any error message, there isn’t one in the Event Viewer either.
The guy says that he did search for similar issues online but only found a few Redditors who have reported on the same crash during the Brotherhood of Steel questline.
Here are certain probable situations that might give rise to the said Fallout 4 bug:
- It could also appear after you unlock/pass a certain location.
- If you go back to an earlier save with the crash, you’ll probably find you don’t crash there so it happens at some point later.
- It occurs on PC/PS4 and I believe Xbox One too. (only heard of one occurence)
- No matter what direction you try to enter the area, it’ll crash.
