ELEX Combat Guide
During combat, you will be keeping an eye on two things. The health bar and the stamina bar. Your stamina depletes as you attack and make moves during the combat such as rolling around and dodging enemy attacks.
However, there is a thing that you can exploit as of now in the combat system of ELEX. You will notice during fights that your stamina bar increases quickly as compared to your enemies.
You can use this trick to exploit the combat system. When your enemy runs out of stamina, keep spamming the left mouse button.
This will make them enter a stun lock and they will not be able to attack you. Using this exploit, you can fight many hard enemies but it will require a lot of time.
For help in combat, you really need to upgrade your stamina and Hit Points. Increasing the stamina ensures that you can fight for longer periods without the need for stopping and waiting until your stamina can refill again.
Upgrading the Hit Points ensure that you are not dying quickly. You will be able to take more damage before dying.
Modifying weapons is also important, as you will need more powerful weapons to take down enemies as you progress in the game.
Purchase the skill Modify Weapons as soon as possible so that you can start modifying your weapons. After you have the skill, simply head to a workbench and you can modify the weapons to your liking.
Another thing that will be useful to you in combat is Jetpack. If you are good at it, you can take advantage of the added mobility it offers. You can use it to evade and dodge attacks of powerful enemies along with escaping from di tough enemy.
ELEX Quests Guide
You will complete many quests on your journey in ELEX. Quests could be done in any order but we will recommend that you follow a certain order for completing quests.
Quests in ELEX are in no way easy to complete. You should stick to the easy areas in early times of your journey. Level up and take your Tim exploring the elements of the game before you move to the difficult areas for quests.
During your quests, you get many options to make decisions. Choose them wisely, as they will have an effect on your cold stat, which determines your emotional state in the game.
You also get to complete faction quests if you want to join a certain faction. Quests relating to certain factions yield greater rewards if you are part of that campaign.
Quests can be completed in multiple ways. Not every quest needs to end in violence. Try to complete a quest by other means as well especially when you are able to use ‘Suggest’. Using this can most of the times help you complete quests without any unnecessary combat.
General Tips and Tricks
Mining is an important element of ELEX and you will require a jackhammer for it. There is one located in the pit in Goliath. If you want to avoid the guard, use your jetpack to fly around him to get it.
Another element at your disposal is Magic. You can equip and use any spells that you have unlocked or purchased. Magic helps you in various scenarios throughout the game so make sure that you use it as well.
If you learn the chemistry skill, you can brew a number of potions. Collect their required ingredients during your journey and then you can easily brew a number of potions.
This comes in handy because the potions have multiple advantages and they will benefit you greatly during combat in different means.
Make quick save your friend. Save the game as many times as you can. You do not when a stronger enemy may attack you and you will die so make sure you are prepared for such a situation. Keep saving your game at regular intervals.
