Death Stranding is one of the most anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusives, however, Kojima Productions is yet to reveal the release date for the game and it seems that the game might be in the testing phase right now if that is what Hideo Kojima is hinting at.
As noted by Gamepur, Hideo Kojima recently uploaded a picture on his Instagram account hinting that he is testing the Death Stranding on PlayStation 4. The picture in question showcases only a PlayStation 4 console and a DualShock 4 controller.
While the picture doesn’t reveal what is being played on it but, the tags “#deathstranding” for the picture suggests that Hideo Kojima might be testing Death Stranding which would suggest that the game is currently in testing phase and the game might be complete in regards to its fundamental components and the gameplay is being refined.
The game features Mads Mikkelsen and Norman Reedus, however, not much is known about their characters in the game. However, according to Mikkelsen himself, his character is more than what it seems in Death Stranding.
(Kojima’s) games are not as black and white as Hollywood is sometimes. So there are more nuances of gray in his world. You’ll have to encounter these characters in different ways throughout the game.
Furthermore, according to Norman Reedus himself, the game’s concept is mind-blowing and way ahead of its time which happens to feature some social media elements too.
Not much is known about the game itself despite two trailers being released for it, however, the game will also feature a multiplayer component too. According to Kojima himself, the game’s multiplayer will be different. However, he didn’t reveal any specific details.
Death Stranding is currently in development at Kojima Productions exclusively for PlayStation 4 and is expected to launch in 2018.
