Dragon Age Director Mike Laidlaw Has Intentions To Work On Cyberpunk 2077

While talking to gameinformer the director of the game Dragon Age, Mike Laidlaw was asked that whether he would like working on Cyberpunk 2077.

In an interview with “Gameinformer” the director of the game, Dragon Age Mike Laidlaw revealed that he does have a tempting desire to work on Cyberpunk 2077.

Upon asking if he receives an offer from CD Projekt Red to work on Cyberpunk 2077 would he work? To that, the director of the game Dragon Age clearly said that he would definitely be tempted. Mike Laidlaw added that “They would certainly raise an eyebrow” because he has always been the fan of CD Projekt Red games.

Mike Laidlaw showed a lot of appreciation for their work on games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. He kept on talking about the “REDengine” they use in producing their games. He further added that he is a huge fan of the game Cyberpunk, basically, he referred to himself as Cyberpunk nerd straight up.

Laidlaw said that Neuromancer is his favorite novel of all time. Not only that he further added that if William Gibson were to write on the stall of a bathroom he “would make a small pilgrimage there”. Although that was on a humorous note.

On a more serious note, Laidlaw did say that if he received the offer he would definitely consider it although moving the family to Poland is a tough thing to do but he would think of it.

Talking about Cyberpunk 2077 the game is probably the most anticipated RPG of the decade and it seems like it would be filling in shoes of The Witcher 3. Developers have been making sure that they offer a fine quality RPG. Better yet the team is referring to it as a “new Witcher 3“.

Furthermore, based on the job listings from CD Projekt RED, the Game will be featuring thrilling combat encounters as they have been recently looking for a combat designer to help create exciting combat encounters for the game.

For Cyberpunk taking the director of the game, Dragon Age into their team could also prove to be a good addition to the game overall. Although at this moment the director only shared his view, so fingers are crossed.
