Battlefield 5 has a Team of Developers Working on it Right Now!

EA DICE has moved some developers from Star Wars Battlefront to Battlefield 5, confirms development director.

Electronic Arts DICE is responsible for a number of franchises that are extremely popular; among those are the Battlefield games as well as Star Wars Battlefront, which is why some of the developers in there work on a number of projects together. It looks like Battlefield 5 also has a number of hands working on it as we speak.

Dan Vaderlind, the development director at EA DICE, has been working on Star Wars Battlefront for some time, but he has confirmed recently that he has been transferred to work on “the next Battlefield” now.

Vaderlind took to his official Twitter account with a post that couldn’t have had any other motive than to bring people’s attention towards the fact that Battlefield 5 is in development.

Now that we’ve shipped Battlefront and a part of the team continues to work on it, I am moving on to another project, the next Battlefield..

Clearly, he didn’t call it that on purpose because the studio will want to give the game a proper announcement, but it is probable that the next iteration in the series is not going to be a spin off like Battlefield Hardline but a direct entry into the main series.

However, there is another subseries that has been in the rumors for some time and that is Bad Company. Since the developer talked of the next Battlefield game and not Battlefield 5, he might as well be working on Battlefield Bad Company 3.

Previously, some details regarding the next Battlefield title were leaked online too, you can read up on them here.

We are keeping our fingers crossed.
