Best Lifepath In Cyberpunk 2077, Corpo, Nomad Or Street Kid?

The Lifepaths in Cyberpunk 2077 are the three different background identities of V.

Cyberpunk 2077 allows players to choose their characters from 3 different histories by selecting one of the lifepaths. The lifepath selection doesn’t directly impact your overall gameplay. However, each life path will offer different prologues and dialogues, and you get to experience some specific cultures and environments that you might miss in other lifepaths.

Does lifepath Matter in Cyberpunk 2077?

The answer is “not really“. The lifepath choices are just to please the players with some environmental and cultural flavors. Lifepath doesn’t affect any change in the outcome of your story or quest. No matter what your life path is, you will be a Street Kid in the end.

Simply put, it is an illusion of choice, and your outcome will always be the same. However, it doesn’t mean that there will be no change. You might get specific dialogue choices, minor environmental changes, and prologues.

Lifepath Differences Explained

In Cyberpunk 2077, when you start, you are given a choice to choose your life path. You’ll have to choose one from the following three.

  • Corpo
  • Nomad
  • Street Kid

The Lifepath you choose in Cyberpunk 2077 determines the background identity of V. Each Lifepath has unique prologues and choices that will alter the storyline later. However, there are a few things that might not change.

Each life path has a unique Prologue, and each prologue’s length is different. Secondly, there is an observed change in dialogue and attire, and lastly, the characters you may encounter. For perks, levels, or characteristics, there are no changes.

The endings remain the same as well. Let’s dive into each of the lifepath choices in Cyberpunk 2077.

Corpo Life Path

Corpos are the elites of the Night City, who play ruthlessly with the lives of the less fortunate to maintain their hegemony. Corpo V is an Arasaka Corporation official and a business tycoon deeply connected with politics.

In Cyberpunk 2077, Corpos are charged with sticking stuff right as things get messier after the meeting with the European Space Council.

Nomad Life Path

Only Nomad allows you access to the Badlands early in the game, as V leaves the Night City to search for the Job. To fit in the backstory of your main character, it offers tasks that allow you to meet certain characters while weaving V’s origins into various dialogue choices, allowing players to rely on V’s knowledge.

It also provides the option to recover the vehicle. You can have each piece of information from the Nomad-exclusive dialogue tabs that will be useful during the storyline.

Street Kid Life Path

Street kids are Night City’s notorious youngsters. They are the nomads who come back to the city after failing to earn a living elsewhere in an attempt to rebuild. In Cyberpunk, El Coyote Cojo Bar, an old acquaintance of V, offers him a job.

Street kid V accepts the position and encounters some new people. If you choose this lifepath, you will be aware of certain persons and street thugs. Players will be able to gather additional information without using sheer force.

Which is the Best Lifepath for Beginners?

Nomad Life Path is the best choice for beginners in Cyberpunk 2077. The first reason for that is you get early access to Badlands. This fits perfectly with the character backstory and allows players to rely on V’s knowledge.

Unlike the other two Lifepaths, Street Kid and Corpo, Nomad has excellent dialogue and quest outcomes. Nomad is the best choice if you are interested in the background story of V.
