The Legendary Beaver is one such animal that the players can hunt down in Red Dead Redemption 2 and in this guide, we will show you how to kill this cuddly little thing while you are playing RDR2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Beaver Location

To hunt down the legendary beaver, you have to be near a small pond or a river. For us, the legendary beaver was located just southwest of Butcher Creek in the New Hanover region. Head to the dam that is directly west of Van Horn Trading Post to hunt down this legendary animal in RDR2. The other possible locations include:

  • Elysian Pool and west of Van Horn Trading Post
  • Kamassa River in Roanoke on the east side of New Hanover, near Van Horn Trading Post.
  • West banks of the Lannahechee River, on the southeast side of Lemoyne near Saint Denis.
  • Upper Montana River, west of Strawberry in the middle of West Elizabeth.
  • The river along the Spider Gorge which runs into Lake Isabella on the northwest side of the map in Ambarino.

How to Kill the Legendary Beaver

Head to the location for the Legendary Beaver and keep a rifle, repeater or a shotgun with you. Keep High Velocity or Express Bullets for ammunition. Make sure that all your health, stamina and Dead Eye is fully regenerated. Once you are at the location, activate your Eagle Eye skill by L3/LS + R3/RS and look around for anything that will give you an indication for where to find the Beaver.

You will soon find a piece of evidence and you have to look around for more then. Looking around for the pieces of evidence is going to take you straight to the Beaver. Keep your ammo and weapons on point and activate your Dead Eye ability. Try to be subtle while taking the aim so that the Beaver has fewer chances of seeing you. The best place to aim at the Beaver will be its head, heart or lungs.

If you are using a rifle then zoom in for the aim or use a shotgun while activating the Dead Eye ability. The Dead Eye ability is going to save you if the beaver charges at you. Try to be as efficient as you can and it is going to kill the beaver more quickly without it charging at you and possibly killing you.
