How To Find Red Dead Redemption 2 Gold Bars?

Learn how to become filthy rich with the help of our Red Dead Redemption 2 guide which is going to help you in finding gold bars

Like every game, Red Dead Redemption 2, money is the key to getting new weapons or stylish clothing. While early chapters offer limited cash, gold bars offer a significant boost. Each bar sells for $500 to fences, acting as a valuable source of income.

Finding gold bars is one of the fastest ways to gain wealth in Red Dead Redemption 2. These rare treasures are scattered across the map, each worth a substantial sum. Though you will find them across different regions of the game, if you get your hands on the treasure map, you can boost your chances of earning at least one gold bar or even six in a few cases.

The game has over 30 gold bars; some respawn while others do not. Let’s look at including some of the guaranteed locations for finding gold bars in RDR 2.

1. Limpany

Red Dead Redemption 2 Gold Bar

The first location is Limpany, on the southern side of Horseshoe Overlook and just north of Flatneck Station.

You will find a small wooden shack with Sheriff written over it. Enter inside and check the box inside the drawer of the desk. You will find a Special Horse Stimulant Pamphlet and a Gold Bar.

This gold bar comes with a glitch: If you find a pamphlet in the box, save it, reload the game, and go back to the same spot to get the bar again, you can get the bar repeatedly.

2. Braithwaite Manor

After you get to Chapter 4, go to Lemoyne’s Braithwaite Manor, located south of Rhodes.

Once you’re here, go to the charred building with a corpse on the ground; look to the west wall, and you will find a lockbox in the corner of the room containing a gold bar.

3. Train Wreck

Head to the Cotorra Springs and go across the hill in the northern area of the map. This area is steep and requires much care. Climb and cross from one ledge to the other.

Clear the gapped ledge, and you will come across a damaged upright train cabin. Jump inside the train and find two gold bars at the bottom.

4. Shady Belle

Red Dead Redemption 2 Gold Bar

Head to the Rhodes train station on the northeast side of Shady Belle. Once you’re at the station, move southwest from the water tower, and you will find two rocks among the trees. On the left side, between two rocks, examine the small stone on the floor and move it. You will find a gold bar under there.

5. Treasure Maps

Over six treasure maps in RDR 2 offer a chance to earn gold bars once you solve the puzzle. The Elemental Trail Treasure gives you one gold bar, the Jack Hall Gang Treasure gives you two gold bars, and the High Stake Treasure, Poisonous Trail Treasure, Landmarks of Riches Treasure, and Le Tresor Des Morts Treasure give you three, four, and six gold bars, respectively.

6. Strange Statue Puzzle

Red Dead Redemption 2 Gold Bar

If you solve the Strange Statue Puzzle, you will earn three Gold Bars at once in Red Dead Redemption 2. Completing this puzzle has two parts. Before solving it, you need to locate the puzzle room. For the first puzzle, Strange Paintings, go to Window Rock, located north of the Dakota River and west of Fort Wallace, as marked on the map below.

Once you get to the location, climb the rocks on the south to reach a natural stone arch. On the north side, you will find the Strange Painting puzzle; interact with it so Arthur can draw them in his journal. I advise you to look at the painting closely or take a screenshot to note a few things. Look at the number of feathers under each eagle in a clockwise manner, which is 7, 6, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 2.

To reach the other part of the puzzle, head northeast of Fort Wallace and east of Donner Falls, as marked on the map.

Once you’re at the location, climb to the hill on the north to find an isolated tree between a gapped rock. Enter the gap to find your way to the cave, holding the puzzle’s next part.

You will find 7 statues in the cave; let Arthur interact with each and note down information in his journal. Each statue has two buttons that turn on the correct statues, and the fingers on them make them unique. These fingers help in decoding the correct statues that need to be switched on, and these are 2, 3, 5, and 7.

After you’ve completed the task, a panel will be opened right in front of the winged statue (the one in the middle). This panel will contain three gold bars.
