Gears 5 Gameplay and Story Changes Will be Innovative, Rod Fergusson Suggests

According to The Coalition, Gears 5 gameplay and storytelling will be innovative. They will make something new out of it with big changes.

According to The Coalition, Gears 5 gameplay and story changes will be innovative as the developers are now going to express their full potential in the game. Gears of War now known as “Gears” is considered one of the best series to ever debut on the Xbox 360.

Gears of War 4 was far from bad and it didn’t receive much of a good response. Gears of War 4 featured a brand new developer, someone who didn’t have any experience working in the franchise before.

Studio head Rod Fergusson of The Coalition now says that the team has learned a lot from Gears of War 4 and is ready to work on Gears 5 with its full potential.

We were a new team, a new studio, Gears was coming back after being on the shelf for a while, and we didn’t want to mess with the formula, we didn’t want to change it too much because we wanted to prove that we can build an authentic Gears of War experience. Now that we have done that and people have accepted Gears 4 now it is an opportunity with Gears 5 to bring in the new

Fergusson recently talked to Nerdbunker about the game. He talked about how Gears 5 is going to be a big opportunity for them to do something new whether it’s changing the core mechanics, controls or storytelling.

We really want to show what we want to do with the franchise and where we want to take it; whether it is changing core mechanics, the way we do storytelling, or the way to make certain aspects around controls and gameplay, or whether it is reaching with new types mobile gameplay and tactics on PC

We will most likely see the return of the series next year and will witness what’s really being done to Gears 5 by The Coalition.

As for the release date of Gears of War 5, a store has listed the game to be launched sometime in 2019 and we can’t be more excited.

Also, the upcoming Gears of War is being built up from the scratch. Developers are also targeting 120 FPS for PC and 60 FPS for a standard Xbox One.

A new dangerous enemy has also been revealed which you can take a look at here until we receive more information about the game.
