Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer has stated that we should expect some “positive changes” from Xbox in this year’s upcoming Xbox E3 2018 press conference.

Making the comments on “Major Nelson” Hyrb’s latest podcast, Phil Spencer says they’ll be “changes for us this year, which I don’t think we’ve talked about yet, but I think will be some positive changes at E3”.

Considering that there is still quite some time for Xbox E3 2018 press conference, this could imply that Microsoft has something big planned up their sleeves for this year’s E3 conference taking place in June in Los Angeles.

2018 could potentially be Xbox’s year with exclusives like the much-anticipated Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, and State of Decay 2 which are scheduled to be released this year. Along with a slew of indie titles like The Last Night and Ashen also making an appearance on the console.

Although no concrete details have come out yet regarding Xbox’s lineup at E3 2018, there are rumors that Microsoft is collaborating with Playground Games to work on a new Fable game.

It is also speculated that Forza Horizon 4 might be releasing this year, according to a recent Brazilian Classification Board listing. It will apparently be set in Japan.

With the release of its premium and powerful Xbox One X console last year, Microsoft seems to be getting the momentum it needs to get back into the console race.

With the runaway success of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), having sold over 3 million copies on Xbox One and having outsold its main competitor, PlayStation 4, last month in the United States, Microsoft could finally be getting a leg up on Sony in the console race.

Do you think Microsoft will blow us away this time in their Xbox conference in E3 this year? Or will all the hype amount to nothing? Let us know in the comments.
