How to Solve

Papyrus Puzzles are scattered throughout the world of AC Origins. There are twenty-five Papyrus Puzzles that you need to find and solve. The way to solve all puzzle is simple.

First, you need to find the Papyrus which is essentially a parchment containing the location of the hidden object. The directions to the objects are not clearly located, but you will receive hints about the locations.

The objects you get vary from weapons to armor and they will be near your level so you can make it useful if you solve them when you have reached the maximum level.

It is up to you to find and decipher these parchments in any order to solve them. In this guide, we have mentioned the locations of all the parchments as well as how to solve them.

Puzzles Locations

Papyrus Puzzle #1 – A Long Drink

The first Papyrus is called A Long Drink and you will find it in Siwa. It is located inside a tent on the right side on a table.

Once done, check the map and near the big water body in Siwa, there is a small circle, which is actually a pool. Head there and pick up the item in the middle of the pool.

Papyrus Puzzle #2 – Fertile Lands

This is called Fertile Lands and it is located in Lake Mareotis. It is located just north of the Temple.

Once inside the structure, get to the second level using a pillar and pick up the Papyrus. You can also use your bird to help you locate this Papyrus.

The object is located on the top right side of this temple around 600m away. It looks like an Oasis and some small structures are located there and pick up your reward in the middle of it inside a small walled area. The area has many palm trees.

Papyrus Puzzle #3 – Divided Valley

This is called Divided Valley and it is located in Alexandria. It is present inside the Great Library. Enter it and find the Papyrus on a roundtable on a red carpet.

Next head to Sap Meh Nome. The area you want to go located somewhere in the middle next to a crocodile lair. Kill the crocodiles and climb the rocks behind them to find the reward on top under a tree.

Papyrus Puzzle #4 – The Stone Gaze

This is called The Stone Gaze and it is located in Alexandria as well. Find the icon Sarapeion on the map and go inside the building to find it on a table. Your reward sits on an island in Lake Mareotis on the lower side of the lake.

You will find some ruins there and a statue located on the backside of the island. In the direction where the statue is gazing, you will find a column blocking its way. Your reward is right next to this column.

Papyrus Puzzle #5 – Nature’s Way

This is called Nature’s Way and it is located in Alexandria. Find the icon Great Synagogue on the map and find the Papyrus on a table under a cloth shed. Now head to Kanopus Nome. It is located on the very east side of the map.

A small section of land connected by two roads. Once there, follow the vector of the fallen trees which will lead you to a small standing tree. Your reward sits next to it.

Papyrus Puzzle #6 – Ray of Hope

This is called Ray of Hope and it is located in Alexandria. Find the Tomb of Alexander the Great and enter it. Get to the second level by climbing the pillar and you will find the parchment at the feet of the statue.

Now you need to head to Qattara Depression for your reward. Right at the beginning of the valley here, you will find a small tree. Your reward lies under this tree.

Papyrus Puzzle #7 – Deafening Silence

This is called Deafening Silence and it is located in Alexandria. The Papyrus is located inside Iseion so find the building and enter it.

Locate it behind the altar, which people are praising. Next, for your reward, you need to travel to the island located in the water body in Alexandria at the top side of it.

Once on the island, you will find a fallen palm tree. Head towards the direction in which it is pointing towards the water and you will find your reward.

Papyrus Puzzle #8 – Dead End

This is located in Kanopus Nome and it is called Dead End. The Papyrus is located right in the center of the region inside the Zephyros Stables.

Find it lying on a table with some tools near it. Now head over to Sopi-Res Nome and on the north of the Lotopolis, You will find an irrigation system.

Follow it all the way to the end on the left-hand side and find it in the middle of a stony passageway.

Papyrus Puzzle #9 – Sea of Sand

This is called Sea of Sand and it is located in Sapi-Res Nome. The Papyrus is located inside Temple of Horus.

Head all the way to the back and you will find it next to a statue of a Lion. Next, head to Iment Nome and find the broken ship in the middle of the desert.

For this, it is best that you wait until morning and then look at the shadow formed on the sand. You will see that an X is marked with the shadow so you need to head there and look for your reward.

Remember that the cross is formed from the shadow of the pole next to the two palm trees. If you do not find the item at the X, make sure to look around as the shadow moves quickly with the sun.

Papyrus Puzzle #11 – In Plain Sight

This is called In Plain Sight and it is located in Memphis. Located to the north of the Palace of Apries icon of you check the map, find it sitting on top of the bookshelf next to some vases. Make sure you scan the map if you are a little confused.

Now head to Krokedilopolis and find The Jaws of Sobek. On the island, you will see a discolored river. You will see many pits here. Your reward sits in the grey pit.

Papyrus Puzzle #12 – Burning Rush

This is called Burning Rush and it is located in Memphis. Head to the building called Wabet and find the Papyrus sitting on a table in between some pillars. Now you need to head to the left bottom side of Ineb-Hedjet Nome on the map where a big mountain is located.

Go to the side which faces Memphis and you will see a lone tree standing there. Find the reward behind the tree.

Papyrus Puzzle #13 – Fallen Friend

This is called Fallen Friend and it is located in Memphis as well. Papyrus is located inside the Temple of Plah, sitting on a table under a shed. For your reward, you need to head to canal located near the left side of Memphis on the map.

Look for the statues at the entrance of the canal. Look at the left one and then start swimming straight out in the canal after lining yourself with the statue. Dive underwater just before the shipwreck and you will find your reward there.

Papyrus Puzzle #14 – Stone Fungus

This is called Stone Fungus and it is located in Giza. Head to Eastern Cemetary Mastaba to find the Papyrus. This is located just right of the largest pyramid.

Climb to the roof, enter the building from the hole in the roof, and find the Papyrus sitting on the table next to some scrolls.

Now go to the Tomb of Menkaure in Giza to find your reward. There are some mushroom rocks here and the one you need to go to is the located on the top left side of the smallest pyramid and the left side of the medium-sized Pyramid. Head to mushroom rock, climb it all the way to the top and you will find your reward.

Papyrus Puzzle #15 – The Leaning Tower

This is called The Leaning Tower and can be found in Faiyum. Head to Sarapeion of Karanis and enter the building. Get to the second floor by climbing the statue and find the Papyrus sitting on a table next to a stool.

For your reward, you need to find the restricted area in Faiyum and to the north of that restricted area, you need to look for a tower which is leaning to one side.

Different beams support it. Head to the opposite side of this tower and you will find your reward sitting there.

Papyrus Puzzle #16 – The Blasphemer

This is called The Blasphemer and it is located in Faiyum. Head to the valley market located next to Euhemeria. In the market, head straight up the stairs and find the Papyrus in one of the shops there on a table.

For your reward, head to the Haueris Nome and in the middle of it, you will find some triangular stone monuments here.

This is located next to a small structure on the upper side of the mountain. You will get a clear view of the area in front while the sun will be blocked by the mountain over you.

Papyrus Puzzle #17 – Just Laws

This is called Just Laws and it is located in the Faiyum Oasis. Find the House of Iwn and collect the Papyrus sitting on a table in what looks like a workshop room near the entrance to the left side.

Now head to Atef-Pehu Nome and find the clay smokers located on the main road. They are located on the east side of the road. Your reward is located on top of one of these smokers.

Papyrus Puzzle #18 – Faiyum Oasis

This is also located in the Faiyum Oasis and it is called Sobek’s Rage. Head to Temple of Sobek and pick up the Papyrus from the room on the second level of the building. Get inside the room through the window.

Once you have the Papyrus, for your reward you must head to Haueris Nome and find the small pyramid on the border. Head to its south side and find the stone statue of some kind of an animal.

Keep moving in the direction where the statue is looking and will find your reward behind the Pharaoh’s head.

Papyrus Puzzle #19 – Toth’s Secret

Next stop on your hunt is Haueris Nome and the Papyrus is called Toth’s Secret. This is located inside Temple of Toth. Enter the temple and keep heading towards the back in a straight line. You will find the Papyrus at the end of the temple.

Now you need to head south of your current location to get your reward and go to Uab Nome. Find the Leopard’s Den located south of the border.

Get there, climb to the top and find the tree located at the edge of the mountain. Perform a leap of faith from there and jump in the cave below. Your reward is sitting there.

Papyrus Puzzle #20 – Twin Despair

Now you need to head to Herakleion Nome for the Papyrus called Twin Despair. Find the temple of Khonsou here and enter it. You will find the Papyrus on a table in the middle of some painted pillars.

Now just head to the HW Huts area in the same location and you will find your reward just north of the fast travel point.

You will see two houses, one is without the roof and the other one will be sitting inside water. Behind the house with no roof, you will find a tree and your reward underneath it.

Papyrus Puzzle #21 – Royal Flora

The next one is called Royal Flora and it is also located in Herakleion Nome. Find Galeno’s House and find the Papyrus sitting on a table in one of the buildings on the second floor.

Now you need to head to the southeast corner of the location and you need to find the biggest tree located there.

It will be easy to locate, as it is the biggest tree in the whole game. Your reward sits at the base of it.

Papyrus Puzzle #22 – Forsaken City

This is called Forsaken City and it is found in the Green Mountains. Head to the Asklepieion and find the Papyrus sitting on small round table inside a small building outside the main building in the area.

For your reward, head to Paraitonion’s fast travel point and then south from there. You will end in an abandoned village. You will notice a single building placed at the furthest left of the village. Head inside this building to find your reward.

Papyrus Puzzle #23 – Wet Work

The next one is also located in the Green Mountains and it is called Wet Work. Find the Papyrus in Oracle of Apollo. Jump in the hay and go in the cave behind the hay. You will find the Papyrus over some steps in the first room on the right side.

Find your reward in center of the Green Mountains area. You will see an aqueduct under construction here. Find the starting point of this aqueduct in the cave in a nearby mountain.

Once inside the cave, jump in the water and dive down and you will see an alcove on the right side. Your reward is sitting here next to two jars.

Papyrus Puzzle #24 – Underground Currents

This is called Underground Currents and it is located in Kyrenaika. It is located in the Tomb of Battos. To get the Papyrus, you need to climb the building to the second level and then drop down in the middle. Do not jump! Jump down slowly and then grab the parchment from the table.

Head to the Green Mountains. This is located on the left side of the fast travel location. You will see some water on the map. This is where you are headed.

Follow the water stream back to its source. You will end up on its top of the stream and there you can grab your reward.

Papyrus Puzzle #25 – Dead or Alive

This is called Dead or Alive and you will find it in Kyrenaika. For finding the Papyrus, you will head to the Apollonian of Cyrene. Get inside the building and find it on the table at the back.

To find your reward, head to the elephant arena called Roman Camp of Surus in the Green Mountains. Inside the arena, find the big pool of water. Your reward lies next to it.

Papyrus Puzzle #26 – Undue Haste

Your last Papyrus is called Undue Haste and it is located in Kyrenaika as well. Head to the Temple of Zeus to find the Papyrus. Head inside the temple and you will find the clue parchment on a table on the right.

Head to the lighthouse located at the north border of the map. Once on the island, get to the back of the lighthouse. Drop down and you will see a wreck of a small boat. Grab your reward, which is located on the boat.
