Following the critical success of Dishonored 2 and Prey, Arkane Studios is preparing to bring Dishonored Death Of The Outsider. While the upcoming game will definitely be a treat for those who played the previous games but, according to Arkane Studios, this standalone DLC will be an entry point in the series.
According to creative director Harvey Smith, those players who have never played any Dishonored game in the past will enjoy as much as those who have and Dishonored Death Of The Outsider could be an entry point for the new comers. He added that players can just pick it up and play without knowing anything about the past.
If you’ve never played a Dishonored game, you can actually go pick up Dishonored Death of the Outsider and it could be your entry point into the series. You don’t need to know anything from before. You can pick it up, play as Billie Lurk finding her old mentor Daud and going on this almost-impossible mission to take down this supernatural godlike figure.
With Dishonored 2 launched fans are looking forward to what Arkane Studios has planned for the franchise. However, it will be a while before we get Dishonored 3 and the studio is quite unsure of the future of the franchise. According to creative director Harvey Smith, he has no plans for the future as he does not plan things in advance.
He further explained that with the first Dishonored, he grew a bit sick of it, but the idea for the sequel involving Emily changed his perception, but as for the Dishonored 3 he is quite unsure of it.
Dishonored Death Of The Outsider is a standalone DLC for Dishonored 2 and is scheduled to launch on September 15, 2017, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
