There have been some rumors regarding Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, which is supposedly the next Tomb Raider game in the franchise. However, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have been very quite about it, but another rumor has emerged from the depths of the internet suggesting that Shadow Of The Tomb Raider will launch in early 2018.
The rumor comes from the latest issue of OPM UK, which suggests that as of yet unannounced Shadow Of The Tomb Raider will launch in early 2018. According to OPM UK, “Rumor squirrels tell us Shadow of the Tomb Raider could be released early in 2018”. However, given that it Square Enix has not announced anything, take this as a grain fo salt.
Shadow Of The Tomb Raider was leaked in November last year by an unsuspecting developer traveling through public transport train. The leak does not come from a source inside the development studio, but the leak happened because a developer was dumb enough to open up his work on a public transport train. One Redditor was riding Montreal subway and he spotted a dev working on a presentation for the next Tomb Raider game, of which he took a screenshot.
Since then there have been plenty of speculation about the game being revealed at E3 2017. However, franchise’s Senior Community Manager, Meagan Marie, has stated that Shadow Of The Tomb Raider will not be revealed at E3 but hinted that will be revealed later this year and might be set in Egypt.
