Is Battlefield 5 Armageddon a Thing That Microsoft Wants First?

Rumors suggest that Microsoft and EA might be making a deal for Battlefield 5 like that of COD timed exclusivity deals for Xbox One.

We do know for a fact that Battlefield 5 (or whatever EA decides to call it) is currently being worked on thanks to Dan Vaderlind, the development director at EA DICE, who revealed about three weeks ago that he was “moving on to another project, the next Battlefield.” Nonetheless, the game has not been officially announced by the developers yet.

That being said, we have picked up two strings of alleged leaks, one that comes in the form of a rumor that is gathering heat at forums like Reddit, suggesting that Microsoft has been in talks with Electronic Arts about a marketing partnership to bring the game to Xbox One first.

While this would make sense since Microsoft lost a similar partnership to Sony recently in the case of Call of Duty, we will have to wait for an official word before considering this confirmed.

However, the alleged insider suggests that the two companies might have reached an agreement too that would bring Battlefield 5 to Xbox One in a similar fashion to how Call of Duty got a timed exclusivity.

Moving on, an alleged name that has been discussed previously is Battlefield 5 Armageddon which takes it roots in an IMDB listing talking about a game revolving around “a small town soldier who is in battle for japan. He must fight to get home to his family and friends.” The page even suggests a November release date.

So tell us what do you make of all this?

Do keep in mind that all this is based on pure speculation and rumor, nothing is official so far.
