Mass Effect Andromeda Review Copies Are In The Hands of Reviewers Now

According to Mass Effect producer Michael Gamble, Mass Effect Andromeda review copies are now been sent out to reviewers.

Gamble shared this news with a tweet on his official channel mentioning how hard the developers have worked on creating Andromeda over the past 5 years.

This is it. The game is in reviewers hands. In 5 years, I think we have created something magic. We humbly hope you all agree when you play.

While Mass Effect Andromeda review copies have been sent out to most, if not all major outlets and famous reviewers, the review embargo itself doesn’t lift till 20th March, just a day before the official release of the game.

Considering how Bioware RPGs boast tons of hours of gameplay, this extra week is given to reviewers so that they can try to judge every aspect of the game before submitting their verdict, just in time for general population to decide whether to buy the game or not.

Industry insider Shinobi62 is of the view that the overall score for Mass Effect Andromeda will be highly positive and he did reveal recently that initial reception of the game has been very good.

It is unclear whether the Day One patch will be available for these Mass Effect Andromeda review copies in time or not. The patch itself is expected to be around 2GB although no concrete date has been revealed for when it will be available to download.

Apart from reviewers, Origin and EA Access subscribers will also be able to try out the game for 10 hours starting on 16th March. While the trial access will only contain a small portion of the singleplayer content, bulk of it will be designed to give players a chance to try out the multiplayer of the game.

Speaking of multiplayer, while the multiplayer is confirmed to get free post-launch content, a recent leak has revealed there will be microtransactions involved.

Mass Effect Andromeda will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on 21st March in US and 23rd in Europe.
