Now that Rise of the Tomb Raider has been out on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 for a while, the question remains when will it come to the PC? This question may have been answered by Amazon.
We already know that Rise of the Tomb Raider is due “Early 2016” but today Amazon France appears to think that the date for release will be January 29, 2016. We’ve even captured the image, just in case it is taken down. The question is , could this be the release date?
As we know, sites like Amazon regularly put dates on releases that are not yet official. Many of these can be placeholders until the official date is revealed. With the game coming in early 2016 though, and January 29 being interestingly specific, there does feel a chance that this could be the date.
What does work against this though is the fact that the date is not that far off. With a release like Rise of the Tomb Raider you would expect more of a marketing campaign, even now. Maybe Microsoft want to get past the Christmas rush before they announce the release, but this is also a case of wishful thinking on my part.
For now, this release date is speculation, but it will be interesting to see if anything comes of it. With PlayStation 4’s release still set for the end of 2016, the PC release will be the chance for most non-Xbox One owners to play the game.
