Amazon, known for jumping the gun when it comes to announcing release dates for various games, seems to have revealed yet another game’s release date and this time it’s none other than the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider.
While it was already known that the Xbox exclusivity of the highly anticipated Lara Croft game would end soon after release and the PC version would be available early 2016, probably even the first quarter, a listing by Amazon.de seems to suggest the game would be releasing on 1st April 2016.
Yes the date itself seems extremely fishy given that it’s April Fools’ Day and all but it does seem to align with the earlier mentioned release window and is also on a Friday which is usually the preferred release day because of the weekend. It could very well be a placeholder too.
We will update as more information about whether this release date is true or not is revealed.
Rise of the Tomb Raider launches exclusively on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10th.
