BO3 Zombies Shadows Of Evil Pack-A-Punch Guide

Upgrade your weapons today.

Pack-a-Punch machines are not new to any Call of Duty fan. These machines are featured in Call of Duty Zombies maps and allow players to upgrade their weapons for a certain cost.

Once the weapons have been upgraded, players can also buy upgraded ammo from the same machine. Such a machine also exists in the recently released BO3 Shadows of Evil zombies map.

Though the PaP does exist, it’s not as easy to unlock compared to some of the other versions. To unlock the Pack a Punch in Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Shadows of Evil, you need to go through multiple steps which include finding a few steps and performing a few rituals.

This guide details everything that you need to know about finding all items, performing rituals and where to perform them, and how to activate the Pack-a-Punch machine.

How to build Pack-a-Punch in Shadows of Evil

There are quite a lot of steps involved in finding the location of the Pack a Punch machine which involves performing 4 rituals not to mention finding appropriate items first.

We will be mentioning the process of building the Pack-a-Punch in Shadows of Evil by covering all aspects of it, including how to find all the buildables and complete all the rituals.

FYI

The rituals can be done in any order, so you can complete the ones mentioned in this guy as you see fit.

Find the Summoning Key

The first thing that you need to find for the PaP is the Summoning Key. To do so, you need to become the beast using the purple fountain right at the beginning and destroy the wooden barrel inside the truck nearby.

Once you change back to human form, you will be able to obtain the summoning key from the box. This will be important to start any of the rituals required for the PaP.

Perform the first Ritual

The next thing you need to do is to find the Promoter’s Championship Belt. To do so, you need to head over to the Waterfront District and enter the beast mode by interacting with the fountain.

Once in beast mode, grapple onto a high-fenced balcony right where you find the Mystery Box. Then, turn around to find another grapple point with a fiery wooden crate on top of it.

Once you get there, toss the box down (melee it), return to human form, and grab the item. After this, you need to turn into the beast, go down towards the docks, break through the barricaded door, and open up the ritual area.

TIP

If you are fast enough, you can break the door to the ritual area in the same beast mode, but you have to do this within 25 seconds before you turn back to normal.

After you grab the Belt, two ghostly zombies on fire will spawn, but they can be dealt with easily. With the belt on you, make your way over to the ritual area.

Once you get there, place the belt inside the boxing ring, fend off the undead, and pick up the glowing blue thing i.e. the Gateworm before proceeding.

Each ritual you complete will reward you with a Gateworm, which will be useful to unlock the Pack-a-Punch machine later on in Shadows of Evil. However, you can only pick up one Gateworm at a time, so if you pick this one, you will have to wait a while to pick the rest of them up until you have used it.

Perform the second Ritual

For the next step, you need to find the Detective Badge.

To do so, you need to head over to the Canal District, turn into the beast, turn on the power, and break the box nearby. You can return to human form and go to the area where you broke the box to obtain the part, but there’s a bit more left to do.

After this, search for a small rift opening in the area and open it completely followed by heading inside.

Once you’re inside, turn into the beast and find a wall with some weird symbols all around it. You need to shock this wall to open up the second ritual area which is some sort of a strip club.

Once you’re inside, place the badge in the middle of the area, fend off the undead, and you may pick up the glowing object before proceeding ahead.

FYI

If you are playing solo and are downed during any ritual, it will fail and you’ll have to do it all over again, which is why we recommend bringing in a team.

Lastly, once you complete the second ritual, a miniboss with three heads spawns but it isn’t that hard to defeat.

Perform the third Ritual

For the next step, you need to acquire the Lawyer’s Pen. To do so, you need to become the beast and head to the center of the city where a power switch is located. After you power up the switch, the crane will move and drop the item.

To perform the ritual, you need to go upstairs from the starting area and perform the ritual by placing the Lawyer’s Pen in the center of the area followed by fending off the zombie waves and picking up the glowing object.

FYI

You can open the gate leading to the ritual area by zapping the power box up the stairs from the Easy Street Gate. You need to be in Beast Mode to do this.

Perform the fourth Ritual

For the final item, you need to acquire the Producer’s Toupee. To find this item, you need to head to the Footlight District and become the beast once again.

Interact with the beast mode fountain on the street between the cars. Grapple onto the large building on your left, shock the power switch in front of you, and grapple to the building on your left once again.

Once on that building, move to your left below and then forward. Jump onto the ledge in front of you where the Mystery Box is and break it. Next, jump down and hit the power box you see across the Footlight High Street gate. Then, turn left and melee the wooden box to drop the item.

After all that’s done, change into human form and grab the item. After that, go to the area opened under the first building where you shocked the power box, head down inside, and place the toupee on the altar to perform the final ritual before heading towards the Pack-a-Punch room.

Unlock the Pack-a-Punch Machine

For the final step, you need to head over to the subway area and enter the portal, transporting you to a new area where you’ll come across some weird symbols on the wall. You need to go near the wall which will make it explode and open up a new path.

From this point, you need to head inside the newly opened path and interact with four goblets/podiums scattered around the area –- two near the entryway and two on the far side of the area.

Also, note that you’ll have to do wall-running to reach the goblets on the other side of the room. Once you’ve interacted with all four goblets and placed all the Gateworms you got from the rituals here, you’ll notice blue lines meeting up in the middle of the room.

At this point, you need to join them up by heading towards the area’s doorway and interacting with the altar there which will reveal the Pack-a-Punch machine in Shadows of Evil.

However, do note that you’ll require 4,000 points to interact with the machine and upgrade your weapons in BO3 Zombies.
