Players have reported that they have been experiencing problems with the game like the game crashing at launch, audio issues, bad performance and more. Here we will discuss all of the Yakuza 0 Errors that players have been experiencing and will also provide you with possible fix or workaround so that you can play the game without any hiccups.

Yakuza 0 Errors And Fixes

Yakuza 0 is a remake of the 2005’s Yakuza which was initially launched as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Now that the game is available on PC, players have been encountering performance issues and crashes while playing.

However, Yakuza 0 isn’t the only Yakuza game to come to PC Yakuza 6 will be coming to PC in 2019.

Yakuza games originally were released for Japan but, recently Sega has noted that West has increased appetite for yakuza games that is why Sega is trying to capitalize on it.

The following are the errors and issues that players have been experiencing along with their possible fix or workaround.

Crash At Launch

Crashes are a common occurrence for the PC games and Yakuza 0 apparently is no exception. Players have reported that the game crashes at launch. To fix this issue you can try out the following solutions.

1- To fix this issue all you have to do is verifying the integrity of your game files which will potentially fix the issue for you.

2- If this doesn’t fix it for you, then the game’s resolution might be the issue. Players have reported that while launching the game with 1920 x 1080 resolution it crashes at launch and needs to be set to 1600×900 for the first launch.

To do this all you have to do is go to “C:\Users\[%your user name%]\AppData\Roaming\Sega\Yakuza0” and open Graphics.ini file. Now, look for “ResolutionX”.

When you will find it you will notice that ResolutionX and Y both are set to 0. Just change them to the following.

ResolutionX=1600
ResolutionY=900
Windowed=1
WindowSizeX=1600
WindowSizeY=900

Now launch the game and it should run smoothly. Now you will be able to change the resolution back to 1920×1080 without any problem and will be able to enjoy the game.

3- If this doesn’t fix the issue then it problem might be with the GPU. Go to the Nvidia Control Panel and make sure you are using the dedicated Nvidia GPU instead of the integrated GPU.

If the game is running on the Integrated GPU the game crashes because the iGPU is not able to render the game. You can disable the integrated GPU entirely from the BIOS. This should resolve the crash at launch issue for you.

4- You can also fix the crash on startup by launching the game as Administrator.

5- If that is also not the one creating the problem then the issue might be related to your GPU driver. Just update the GPU driver to the latest version as it brings game-specific optimizations.

These should potentially solve the crash issue for Yakuza 0 and you will be able to enjoy the game.

Audio issues

Yakuza 0 players are also experiencing issues with the game’s audio that obviously ruins the experience for them.

To fix the game’s audio, go to “C:\Users\[%your user name%]\AppData\Roaming\Sega\Yakuza0” and open the “audio.ini” file. When the file is open, look for “AudioMode”.

The AudioMode will be set 0 like this “AudioMode=0”. Just change it to “AudioMode=1” and the audio issues will be resolved.

However, if the game’s audio is ok but you are unable to hear the dialogue for the NPCs at a certain angle then you might have set the wrong channels for your audio device.

Open “Playback devices” by right-clicking the audio icon in the bottom right of the Windows. Select your active audio device and click on configure. Select the right audio channel like stereo for your stereo headphones and press next. This should resolve your audio issue.

Black Screen Fix

Black Screen is a common issue for PC gamers but, it not a critical one. Usually, the Black Screen happens when the game’s resolution is higher than the display’s native one.

To fix this problem start the game when the black screen appears press “ALT + Enter” and the game will go into Windowed mode. Now go to the settings and change the game’s resolution to your monitor’s native resolution and you will be able to play the game in fullscreen.

However, the GPU driver might also be the reason behind the black screen. Update your GPU driver and if you have then install an older GPU driver and the issue should resolve.

Game Freezing Randomly

Yakuza 0 players have reported that the game freezes randomly while playing. However, the fix for this problem is simple.

Start the game and open Task Manager and look for “yakuza0.exe” in processes. Right click on it and set the priority to “High”. Also, don’t set it to real-time as it may degrade the game’s performance.

VCRUNTIME140.dll Was Not Found Fix

Players have reported that when they play the game it doesn’t start at all and an error pops up notifying that “VCRUNTIME140.dll Was Not Found”.

The issue can be resolved easily all you have to do is update your VC Redist. You will find it in “steamapps\common\Yakuza 0\_CommonRedist\vcredist” and install it.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue then you will need to download the latest one from Microsoft.

Green Screen Flicker Fix

Some Yakuza 0 players have reported that when the game launches the screen goes green and flickers. This issue can be resolved by playing the game in windowed mode.

However, to permanently fix this issue open the Nvidia Control Panel and select “Change Resolution” under “Display”. Here check the “Use Nvidia Color Setting” and select the “Highest (32-Bit)” for Desktop Color depth.

Now you will be able to play the game in fullscreen without worrying about the green screen.

FPS Drops, Bad Performance, Stuttering Fix

There are so many PC configurations out there that problems are bound to pop up in terms of Performance.

The PC version of Yakuza 0 is no exception as the game is facing performance issues. But, you can do a few things to make the game run at a better FPS and eliminate the stutter.

First of all, to eliminate the stuttering from the game. Run and the game and open Task Manager. In the processes look for “yakuza0.exe”. Right click on it and set the priority to high. This will improve the performance and will eliminate the stuttering from the game.

Also, check for any unnecessary program running in the background and using the PC’s resources. If there is a process like this then end it to improve the game’s performance.

Another thing you can do to improve the performance is going to the Nvidia Control Panel and select “Manage 3D Settings” and select “Program Settings”.

Select Yakuza 0 from the list and look for v-sync and set it to “Fast”. This will potentially improve the game’s performance, however, it varies from game to game so trial and error if the key here.

Micro Stutters In-Game

Disable the windows Game Mode from setting->Gaming->Game Mode, and disable it.
